Stinky G Dog Denim Trench Coat Dark Blue Size #10 Small

Bought size 12 & 14 based on seller's sizing chart. Tan dog is 11-12 lbs, 16.5-17" chest, 11" neck, 13.5-14" long. White dog is 18 lbs, 19-20" chest, 12" neck & 15" long. (Cricket & Lucky) Size 12 is too short for Cricket (1st photo), fit's his 17" chest but would not fit a 19" chest as stated. Is only 11" long (length from base of neck to base of tail is NOT stated in the size chart or I would've known not to buy it!) so it fits only a very short dog & otherwise it's like a vest, not a coat. Size 14 fit Lucky, BUT velcro strip on inside (see photo at end) irritates his belly/crotch (2nd photo) & so he can not wear it as is. The velcro strip IS very stiff & rough, so if can't be closed completely that will happen. It also sits right against his crotch because the belly strap is too wide, so is not suitable for boy dogs. Material IS very thin denim fabric (not a thick as normal jeans denim, more like shirt thickness), so it will not keep a dog warm more than a shirt would. It is NOT a coat. The denim LOOKS like jacket denim in the photos, but isn't. The buttons are a cheap looking shiny gold color, but I'd planned on changing them to something better looking later any way. Other than all that, it looks adorable. I should've looked at the photos much more carefully before buying as I could've noticed how wide the strap was & how close to a boy dog's privates it would hit. I'm glad I didn't pay more than 3.99 for it. They're going to need some disassembly & resewing to be usable.NOTE: Size chart is relatively correct. Buyers should figure if their dog is at end of the range of a size, go to the next size up, otherwise most clothes will barely fit & have lots of extra velcro showing (which is ugly & gets caught on everything) or be just too small to not work. They should also be aware that every "Size M" does not fit the same - Always read the seller's chart AND measure your dog. Reviewers - it helps if you give specifics of your dog - weight & ALL measurements so other buyers can compare, just saying 'it runs small' or didn't fit my beagle or whatever, doesn't really help that much in my experience to help figure out what size to get. Hope what I've written & photos helps others.

My fur baby (Parsons Jack Russell) has several Stinky G sweaters in size #14 and they are the perfect size. This one was more suitable for a Chihuahua, I'm afraid. I had to return it, but it was really cute.

I believe this dog coat is properly named because this coat is very thin and would not provide a lot of warmth for your dog but it will keep the wind off him like a trench coat.I love Stinky G dog sweaters but returned this coat because I was afraid it wouldn't keep my baby warm.
