Helpful book
This is a really good, general, informative book. It's accessible, yet has real substance. There's nothing revolutionary or controversial here, and where there is controversy in the areas discussed, the book represents different points of view reasonably and accurately. It has some nice, basic exercises that are very easy, but which I found to be helpful additions to my daily routine. I recommend for anyone beginning The Change

Broken down into readable chunks.
I've started reading this and it is full of information, some I knew, other info I'm learning. I appreciate that it's broken down in sections for ease of reading brief sections at a time (when I can). Looking forward to learning more.

Beat Educational book
By far the best information and educational book I found. I talked to Doctors, nurses, family and friends. Each person is different this covers everyone. I wish I would of had it sooner.

Sufficient.
This covers the basics but sends you to the doctor for more complete answers. Another author from several years ago did a better job.

You don't need to be going through menopause to read this book, it's a great woman's health guide.
This is a great overall woman's health book. It says right on the back that every woman turning 40 should read it, I agree 100% & I am 60. It's a great reference book to look things up on woman's health.

Demystifying the case for or against hormone therapy
Great info regarding hormones, bio-available, synthetic.... When or if to use them, etc. Hormones aren't really the holy Grail we originally thought

maybe in 2018 this book was on the top. 2023-it is full of outdated information

Excellent for ladies with hormone receptor positive breast cancer
I actually sailed through menopause but then at 57 I was diagnosed with estrogen positive breast cancer. Part of my treatment is to take an aromatase inhibitor for 5 years, which aims to lower estrogen levels even further. I now do have some menopause side effects so decided to buy this book on kindle. I am so impressed with it. Lots of information presented in an easy to understand way. But I was really surprised when I found that they include ladies cancers too. This is so helpful as I can't have HRT but this is all discussed in the book. Most of the advice on menopause is very useful to me, in fact all of it that doesn't include taking hormones. Amazing book, thank you 😊

Great purchase!
Although this rather hefty tome is written in the USA and has a few americanisms don't let this put you off buying it. There's lots of information in here that is easy to refer to because each chapter covers a different subject in a question and answer style. The authors are very well informed and it has recently been updated to take new findings into account. I have this by my bed and dip into it now and again mostly to give me peace of mind that i'm not going mad and that my symptoms are pretty normal for a perimenopausal woman!
