I ordered this adapter to use with my Samsung Z Fold5. The big selling points to me were the width/depth of the grip, the metal construction, the fact that the adapter tilts, and the number of accessories that can be attached to it.The grip easily holds my giant Z Fold5 (folded closed) even though I have a very thick case that also has a kickstand on the back of it. That was a major plus along with a very sturdy metal construction of the adapter itself.However, while the grip is good, I'm questioning the longevity of the spring- loaded portion of the grip. It is tight enough right now, but it's very easy to nudge the phone a bit and the spring moves too easily for my comfort level. And as time goes on, I'm concerned the spring will just "loosen" and drop my expensive phone.Otherwise, this is a fantastic product.

Tried it out today. Put it on top of a cheaper tripod. This works like a champ, sooo much better than the bendy (not very flexible) arm I've been using.I love how it uses the standard tripod mount, perfect.

This phone clip works well. It mounts to my camera and lighting system with no problem, and I have zero fear that my phone is going to fall out of it.The problem is how hard it is to get my phone into it each time. I never realized how beneficial having a tightening clamp or knob to secure a phone is. This clip is spring loaded and to open it wide enough to get modern phones in it requires stretching it out almost as far as it can open, and if it slips, GET BACK! This thing will snap shut hard enough to pinch and bruise fingers. This probably isn't a problem on tripods that you can adjust to a comfortable height before mounting your phone, but in my setup where I already have to stretch on my toes to get to the mounting location the spring mechanism feels dangerous.
