I Sea 10
I am a homeschool parent to a kindergarten and 2nd grader. I bought this game for the kindergarten student who can solve addition problems to 10 currently. As an upcoming 1st grade student, it will be easier to add larger sums once we have the basics memorized. I like how the game is played by making "10" in multiple combinations. This is a great skill as we continue to progress. The game is adaptable to make "20" as well. The game is fun and easy to pick up. The kids liked the sea theme and were excited to play. The 2nd grader was all about speed and loved watching for certain numbers to be turned over. Overall, both kids loved it. It challenged the younger student and kept the older engaged with winning and teaching the younger student. The box and cards are sturdy enough for our home use. I think it was a good value for the price point.

Cute learning game
I really liked the sturdiness of the number chips because the were thick. The sea animals are cute for kids. It is easy to teach kids to add. A 5 year old child will get the hang of it after a few times. It can get a bit boring with only 2 players.

Endlessly adaptable! Great value! We will use this game for many, many years!
This became a favorite in our house after only the first time playing. It was purchased to help improve the mental math speed and accuracy of our 6 year old first grader. By the end of the first game he was a master at adding up to 10. I was so impressed with how quickly he learned that 7 & 3 go together, 6 & 4, etc. This game is also endlessly adaptable, which adds HUGE value! There are a LOT of sharks in the game, which eat any sets you have collected. At first I thought the high number would cause frustration, but it actually seems to reduce it because it levels the playing field a bit, and makes it fun to see how high of a stack we can collect before the shark comes and eats it. Our younger one likes to pretend to play too. As much as the big kid loves to play this game I wouldn't be surprised if the little one masters basic addition before he gets to kindergarten! Some other ways you can play it:- Remove equal and higher numbers to play "I Sea (lower number)". For example, remove 7's, 8's and 9's, plus a few sharks, and play "I Sea 7". Make sure to remove some of the sharks too, otherwise it will be too many sharks for the number of cards you have out.- Play "I Sea _____" using at least 3 numbers (be prepared for leftover cards).- Subtraction only- Free-for-All: addition, subtraction, or multiplication; any number of cards- Multiplication - whoever can call out the correct answer first gets the cards- Fractions and decimals - Take turns flipping like normal, but make sure to pause in between flips, and whoever calls out the correct decimal for a fraction gets the cards. For example: if a 1 is flipped over, then a 4, someone could call out .25. If no one can get a decimal after a flip, then the next person can turn one over. This also helps practice reducing fractions because someone could call out .33 for 3 and 9.Your creativity is really the only limit here!
