Read the directions, use your head and its a fantastic product!
When I purchased this bag, it included a specific disclaimer the bag was totally watertight based upon the fact the seams were stitched, not molded. With that knowledge in mind, I use 4 to 6 (depending upon outside temperatures) frozen 2-liter soda bottles to chill the bag. They don't leak, melt far slower than cubed ice and are significantly lighter than several 10 lb bags of ice. I've had it full of fish and the bag works very well. I've used it on 100-plus degree days, sitting in the open on the deck, and the bag has kept fish cold all day. The double handle design allows me to carry it with one hand. The flexibility of the bag allows it to be stored in many configurations, utilizing available space rather than a rigid, conventional cooler. Rinse out the inside and the bottles with a spray bottle of soap/water, invert it to dry, re-freeze the bottles and it's ready for the next day.I'm very satisfied with this product. Reading the instructions and exercising some sense will provide anyone with years of use. I'll never bother with a bulky, hard to store cooler. I've given a couple to friends as gifts and they are as satisfied as I am.Great product. Tremendously effective if used reasonably.

Great materials, holds ice well, leaks
I use this on my Hobie PA 14. This product is made of good materials. I have tried three other brands and this has proved the most durable of them. The only flaw, is that it does not have a drain plug, which would make it a lot easier to use while fishing on my kayak. It is important to note that this kill bag will leak on the bottom seams and through the zipper. Seal the bottom with a 3m product as recommended by company. There is nothing you can do about the zipper portion. I would usually carry this bag in a waterproof container if transporting inside a vehicle.

Fantastic Bag!!
This has been one of my better fishing purchases in a long time. My boat doesn't have a built-in fishbox, so up until now I've had to keep a huge cooler on board that took up a lot of floor space. This bag sits nicely in the walkaround and keeps the stern wide open for fighting fish.So far, the bag doesn't leak, and holds ice for a full day of fishing. I have yet to fill it with fish, but I suspect you could easily pack over a dozen Great Lakes-sized salmon in it with room left for ice. I really like the handles, which allow you to carry the bag over your shoulder like a fish purse or to have one person grab each end when it's full and a bit heavier.I have two gripes with the bag:(1) The drain plug pulls off too easily. This isn't that big of a deal, but it does seem like it would be easy enough to manufacture these with a threaded drain plug instead of the pull-off type that mine has. This is the reason for the four-star rating.(2) The logo could stand to be a bit smaller. I know this is purely cosmetic, but I do wish I didn't have to walk down the dock feeling like I'm carrying a billboard advertisement for Reliable Fishing Products. This is purely a matter of personal preference, and had no bearing whatsoever on my rating of the product.

Perfect size for salmon and steelhead
We catch a lot of salmon and steelhead on the Columbia River. This is the perfect size for 4-5 typical adult salmon or 6-8 steelhead with a couple bags of ice Bag is not too big and not too small. I liked it so much I bought the same one for my buddy. I’m very pleased with it

Earns every star!
I fish with guides and I have a driftboat. This bag works perfect! It works in so many ways more than what I thought. It's smaller than a cooler, it is quite and doesn't slide around, it durable, keeps things cold for a long time, and most of all it's easy to carry. I could go on and on about the positive things with this cooler. In all honesty, this cooler earns every star with me given that I use it, fishing often in the Pacific Northwest year round.

GREAT product. I found that it keeps the ice ...
Yes the kill bag has met all my expectations....AFTER I read the disclaimer about the fact that they are NOT leakproof. I had erroneously sent back one of the bags after I found that it leaked fish blood into the carpeting in the back of my wife's SUV....and I caught hell for it. Initially I sent back the original bag and was a bit miffed over the leakage. I initially wrote up a negative feedback report, but decided to hold it until I contacted the manufacturer prior to posting the comment. I contacted Paul at Reliable Fishing Products. He was extremely courteous and helpful and told me that they include a written disclaimer in the bags to alert customers to the fact that the bags are NOT leakproof. He suggested that in order to make them leakproof, one needs to get some of the marine product "5200", turn the bag inside out and apply the product to the stitching on the seams at the bottom. I suggested that they make their disclaimer much more noticeable to the customers so that they don't have the same erroneous expectations I did. Other than that...GREAT product. I found that it keeps the ice intact for several days provided that you don't put in in the direct sunlight. I also bought the bag that has a flat 12 inch bottom on it so that it stands up rather than lying flat in the bottom of the boat. I would recommend that feature to prospective customers.

Meh
It says it’s a 60” bag. It’s a 43” bag. Go to their website and they state that. On Amazon, not so clear. No chance of fitting a 5’ fish in here.

it's great and I recommend any similar product from the manufacturer
Big, but big is why you buy it. This bag will keep for two days no problem with adequate ice and is quite durable. I reinforced the inner seals with silicone adhesive to upgrade the format and prevent leakage into the lining\insulation. it's great and I recommend any similar product from the manufacturer. I usually fish one day and clean the catch the next, and I holds them overnight with no additional ice. I usually start a trip with 60-80 lbs of ice in this bag (in 20 lb retail ice bags) and it works fine. for grouper, i use the bag in two halves, when i get about 50 lbs of gouper in one end, i start putting fish in the other end. ONE TIP-- i made some zipper pulls from 12 guage electrical wire and they make those zippers a lot easier to handle with fish slime on your hands.
