I was tired of using bricks to press my books. Thus is much better.

Good quality but zero instructions on how to utilize the tools contained in the box.

I worked in a bookbindery for a while and really enjoyed the process, but this is going back to basics. Comes with everything you need to get started for a really decent price (starter kits elsewhere were really expensive when I looked, so the price alone could be a barrier to entry if you're curious about it). There are going to be mess ups when you're starting out, but if you stick with it you will absolutely get your money's worth out of this kit before you need to invest in more expensive, better quality tools.

This DoubleFill 25 Pcs Book Press Bookbinding Supplies kit is an awesome setup if you want to start bookbinding. Mine did not come with instructions but there are tutorials all over the internet. It comes with all the tools you need to get started and if you want to go bigger later you can. This is a good starter.

This kit does not come with book board (corragted chipboard to created hardcover books) and does not come with glue (ph neutral PVA glue)

The only reason this isn't a full five stars is because one of the holes of one board was a little small and the board did not slip through as easily as with the other holes, but at least it was big enough to be screwed through.The book press was very easy to assemble. I watched the videos here and that was all I needed. Even without an instruction manual, it seems fairly self-explanatory.All the items were right there in the kit as described. Looks like it's very sturdy and of good quality. I can't wait to get started. I chose this particular kit because it seemed like the most reliable and the best deal for the cost and I'm not disappointed at all. I did buy glue, end papers, actual paper and some pretty material for book covers and end bindings separately so I have everything ready to start.

When I received the product, the boards were warped and the holes drilled in did not line up. I tried to soak the boards, with the bolts in to straighten them out. Didn't work. To get the pieces apart, I ended up splintering sections of the boards off. Spend a little more money for a better made kit. I am only giving this two stars because the rest of the kit was fine products for a starter kit. The press though makes the whole kit no worth the money.

One of the boards are unfortunately warped and the grain was also going in the wrong direction returned it and got one that was fine. Otherwise it works fine as intended, maybe mine was just a fluke.
