Da BrighMinchiate Tarot Cards Deck

A very beautiful recreation
I wish I could knock 1 star off for reasons I'll explain below, but I won't, since this product has so few reviews. For starters, this deck has fantastic artwork. It lightly touches up the art, making it feel a bit more clean and modern, without straying from the original. The only complaint I have is that they've replaced the card "Hope" with "The High Priestess". This somewhat disrupts the symmetry of the deck. Most tarot decks have three of the Seven Virtues: Strength/Fortitude, Justice, and Temperance. The original, historical Minchiate deck included all seven, adding Prudence, Faith, Hope, and Charity to the mix (though it also excluded the High Priestess).I could've overlooked this omission if the High Priestess card had the same artwork as Hope. I also could've overlooked it if they had included both cards, bumping the total to 98. (As an aside, some Minchiate decks had a 98th card, Fortuna, pictured as a woman running atop a wheel. So the total number of cards is not fixed at 97.) The numbering already is different from the original, so there's no reason not to include both. This deck feels incomplete without Hope, but it's still a fantastic deck. I'd rate it 4.5/5 stars.
