Race Car 3D Nascar Cake Pan

Quite happy with this pan. It was delivered faster than expected, which was helpful. It made a great base for my son’s Lightning McQueen cake. It did need just a bit more batter than my recipe that usually fills two 9-inch round cake pans. It probably could have taken another 1/4 to 1/2 batch. But even not as full as it could have been, the cake turned out well. I did balance the pan on a ball of tin foil because I was worried it would tip in the oven. This didn’t seem to effect the baking at all.

I was really really REALLY excited for this cake pan to come because I needed it for my boyfriend's birthday! I ordered it last minute and thought it was going to come late but luckily it came on the first day of the shipping estimate. My only problems were that it 1. Did not come in a bag, it was just sitting in the cardboard box and 2. The directions it came with did not tell you how much of a pain in the ass it was going to be to make this car shaped cake happen. I went through four boxes of cake mix and man, this was difficult. The cake took super long to cook in the middle and the shape was all wrong, but in the end it worked out alright. I don't know if I'd ever buy from this company again, or maybe it's just me. I know for sure I will never be on a competitive baking tv show, my skills suck.

Read all other reviews here, which helped a lot.To prevent sticking, used butter, then spray oil, then flour. Came out beautiful, no sticking issues.Baked cake on lower temp (325 instead of 350) and covered the car 'hood' with aluminum foil for about half the baking time. Came out great, not overcooked.Filled with 1.75 cake mixes, was a bit too much and had to put pan on shelf underneath to catch drips.Put cake up on 'stand' that we made out of aluminum foil and cardboard so that we could put on cookie wheels, and so that the cake didn't look so flat.Next time, will try to make a little bit more top of the car--maybe make the remaining second cake mix in the bottom of a loaf pan so that we can add a bit more top, and have a wee more detail for windows.Overall, works great! Very happy to have a race car shape in place of a fat squat car. Made a memorable birthday cake.

Awesome Cake Pan! I see complains about sticking- you MUST get the Wilton Cake Release (this stuff rocks!!). I had no problems. 1st time covering with fondant and came out so cool!!! For a 1st timer!! Yes there are scuffs but that is to be expected. Even for a new pan.

I didn't end up using this plan because it was way to shallow, or would have been an incredibly flat car. I was hoping for a pan to make lightening McQueen and the is no way this would work for that. When I contacted the seller about a refund they refused.

This came with no baking instructions. One batch is not enough to fill. Even with coating the pan, the cake stuck. I ended up havin to bake sheets an just shape myself.

Not worth the money I paid. It cast me $30 bucks, cause I could not find anything similar. Wanted to make Lightning McQueen for my son.While the pan is of a good quality, the accessories coming with it are useless, too small. Also, the shape makes it hard to have evenly backed layer. The front is much thinner, almost burning while the middle was barely baked.

It worked perfect for the sports car Cake I was making. I wish the top would had been a bit higher but it worked great.
