These really are great. They're simply a pair of thick, oversized silicon gloves. Silicon is a great insulator, and you can pick up the hottest things with impunity. The surface is textured, so you get plenty of grip and they really insulate your hands superbly, to the point where you have to be a little bit careful that you remember that the thing you have in your hands is, in fact, really hot!Easy to clean, nice bright fun colours, and they have a little hole if you want to tie a piece of string in there to hang them up. They are oversized, so will fit anyone, and are wonderfully easy to clean as they won't stain. Just stick them in the dishwasher.These things will pretty much last forever, as they've really not got anything to go wrong with them. I got these as a freebie to review them, but I am very pleased with them and recomend them.

I used to use oven gloves of the standard design (i.e. made from fabric). These gloves are a lot more convenient – they take up less space in the kitchen and have far better grip. Most importantly, they are better insulators of heat – I find that heat penetrates fabric gloves relatively quickly.Unlike fabric oven gloves, you just wipe these clean or lob them in the dishwasher.Photo 1 shows what the gloves look like.There is a convenient hole in each glove for hanging them up (photo 2). The coin is to give you an idea of the size.Silicone is naturally high friction, which gives you a good grip – better, I find, than my old fabric over gloves.To help grip in damp conditions, the gloves have indentations in the shape of love hearts, which extend down to the fingers (photos 4 & 5).I really like these gloves.Disclaimer: I received this product for free in exchange for my honest & unbiased review
