But to be honest it's all but impossible to make ketone salts not taste bad. They really do taste like colonoscopy prep stuff.That being said, I'm actually getting used to this one. I don't bother adding it to coffee or making smoothies out of it. Instead I have a little cup and I mix my serving in either water or cream and just do it like a shot of whiskey or something.Then I take a coffee sip for a chaser. I just now used heavy cream for my keto shot and either I'm getting used to it or it really did mask the saltiness. It wasn't half bad.I have been on a keto diet for a little over 6 months, tweaking my diet over time. In addition to losing weight, my arthritis symptoms that caused me to put on the weight to begin with are so much better! I can hike now! I can go to the gym! I can get out of bed without help!The ketone salts help me with meal replacement, and it seems to give me an energy boost and mental clarity. Yesterday I felt a little shaky but I didn't want to eat a meal as I had a small piece of pizza the day before and if I go "off feed" I do an intermittent fast. I did my keto shot and felt great on a 4 mile hike! Just to point out, I rarely consume anything like that but there are rare occasions where I eat the bun, or have a single piece of pizza. I don't fall off the wagon or binge eat, I just continue my diet. It may be why I was shaky the next day though, that isn't usually a problem. The BHB's snapped me right out of it.This brand has been the best tasting and least expensive. I got the chocolate. I plan on getting more when they get more in, they seem to be out at the moment. Next time I will order two.

This was the better tasting one, but I'm not sure I would drink it for pleasure alone. I mixed it with black iced coffee and the taste grew on me. When I ran out I found that I missed it. It compliments coffee well enough, but I have no idea how it would taste in plain water and I'm not really interested in finding out.SOLUBILITY: Mixes well, even in cold beverages. I did mix it in a thermos, so I could give it a periodic shake. Without that, you may find some "sediment" at the bottom of your cup when you are done.TUMMY TROUBLE: Every BHB manufacturer warns you to start slowly, as it may cause an upset stomach, which is the nicer way of saying you will be poopin' liquid. This product is no exception. My stomach did not hurt in any way, but I def experienced loose bowels. If you are sensitive to that kind of thing, start with half a scoop and work up.EFFECTIVENESS: I was curious about this product, and decided to try it to compliment a low carb diet intended to help with a small amount of weight loss. I used this product with coffee in the morning and "fasted" until early afternoon (Yes, I know, not a real fast because I consumed coffee. I am not interested in managing mornings without coffee, thank you.) I did not test ketone levels, but I will tell you how I felt. This product really complimented coffee. I wasn't expecting it, but I felt a boost in energy and mental focus. I didn't notice it as much until I ran out and realized what a boost it was giving my mornings. I'm not much of a morning eater to begin with, but this made fasting virtually thought-free and hunger-free. I felt like I had plenty in the tank and did not even think about food until after noon. I was successful in losing weight with this product, more so than dieting alone. I tried a slightly cheaper BHB product (that had rave reviews) after this one and came back to this one because I did not experience the same rate of weight loss and other positive effects.

I wanted a less expensive and better tasting product than Pruvit's. It is better tasting albeit not quite what I would call "good", but I would definitely keep using it if I did not feel so bad-headache, diarrhea, fatigue. Pruvit tastes worse and costs more, but I don't feel bad. I can barely get through the day with this so cannot continue. I also read that ketones are good for energy when at altitude as they don't require much oxygen to fuel the brain. I went on vacation at 8,000 feet and felt better when I took it. Exogenous ketones are not cheap and this one is surprisingly effective and affordable.For getting started with Intermittent fasting it kept my brain running without the fog I would get from not eating. It eliminated cravings by not needing insulin to be metabolized. Cravings for food went away pretty quickly and I was still able to function as good or better at my day job with it as I did when eating a lot of food for breakfast. This helps me stick to diets without suffering performance downgrades in the first few weeks of a diet.It tastes great and dissolves in water easily.
