The Gold is for extended performance, ie, it lasts twice as long. (but you still need to change the filter)

Q: How is this different than the one that doesn’t say for most Honda’s and Toyotas?

For me, the Mobil 1, 0W-20 has provided my 2016 Acura with the smoothest and most trouble-free ride I have ever experienced. I do faithfully change the oil and filter when my Acura indicates that it is time. This occurs approximately every 7000 miles. I hope this helps.
