This Oyster Plate was hand built from stoneware clay and fired to 2167 degrees. Put the plate in the freezer and get it very cold - serve raw oysters without the mess of ice. Place the plate in the oven and make Oysters Rockefeller. Wash in the dishwasher. Each plate comes with a hand made padded case. Great for serving stuffed mushrooms, escargot, won tons, shrimps, deviled eggs. When using in the oven place cold food and cold plate in cold oven and let everything heat up together. DO NOT throw cold plate into hot oven. The plate is designed for shucked oysters. 10" across
