Installation may (will) take significantly longer than five minutes due to the leftover adhesive from your old ear pads scrim (cloth covering the speakers), but that is not caused by this product – no points deducted. Feels great, would recommend.# Installation Tips### Pad RemovalRemove the hard plastic ring along with the pads – they are attached and it will be much easier.### Removing Scrim AdhesivePeel what you can off first and then goo gone or high proof alcohol will help clean off old adhesive — 70% Isopropyl worked okay, 99.9% worked great.### Installing New PadsYou press down on the plastic ring that the pads are attached to so that the plastic ring goes underneath 10 teeth per earphone. Press next to teeth (NOT the on teeth).

my headphones are brand new again! i didn’t realize how bad it was until i replaced it— goodness, the old ones were funky as heck. the new ones work perfectly and noise isolation isn’t compromised at all. the process of replacing the headphones took less than 5 minutes and that’s only because i counted each little mounting teeth. user manual was straightforward, too!

I purchased this product as a replacement for my Bose QC35 headphones. This is the second of these kits I have purchased. The items included in the kit are high quality and look like factory original pieces once installed. Installation should be easy. However, this is where the one problem with this kit becomes apparent: the instruction booklet.The leather ear pads include a plastic ring that attaches to the mounting brackets on the ear pieces with an audible click. If the old ear pads are removed incorrectly, the plastic ring is left behind and remains in the mounting brackets preventing the user from installing the replacements. The instructions do not mention this and the pictures in the instructions do not give a clear view of what the mounting brackets in the ear pieces look like so there is no way to tell when something goes wrong.I spent a frustrating afternoon repeatedly trying and failing to install the replacement ear pads. I finally gave up on the instruction booklet and searched "Install Bose QC 35 Replacement Ear Pads" on YouTube. The video I found cautioned viewers about the problem with the plastic ring and as soon as the video showed what that looked like I had found my problem! Once the ring was removed the ear pads snapped right into place.I would recommend this kit to anyone who needs replacement ear pads and scrims for their Bose QC 25/35/45 headphones. However, I highly recommend finding a video tutorial on installing the ear pads. It will save a lot of time and frustration and be more helpful than the included instruction booklet.

My Bose QuietComfort 35 headphones had become unusable because the earpads had rotted out and fallen off and apart, literally. This was tremendously disconcerting given the premium price of the Bose QC 35. This replacement kit was fairly easy to install, and for a very modest cost my QC 35 is back like new. The new pads are very comfortable. It takes a bit of patience and technique to install the new pads, but the result was absolutely excellent. If I had to do it a second time, now with no learning curve, I could do both sides in less than five minutes. This is an excellent product.

My previous pads were going on 3 years old. I had noticed more noise leaking in, lower quality of noise cancelling, and the headphones themselves felt too big. I mean, my head didn't shrink. I was skeptical at first. These are identical, and easy to install. My headphones fit again, and I can't hear myself type anymore.
