I bought this leash for my 110 lb Golden years ago. We lost him 2 years ago and I continued to use the leash with our new rescue pup (75 lbs). The length is perfect for our back yard giving her a combined running length back and forth of 48 feet. I decided to get another one to keep at the front door and stupidly bought another brand at a slightly lower cost...wow was I disappointed! I immediately replaced it with another Alcott. The quality is second to none. The leash never gets stuck and the retractable clicker is smooth as silk. So easy to use and I never worry. A++++ in my book. FYI The original Alcott was purchased at our local grain and feed store that only carried the best dog products. The owner recommended it and now after about 15 years I have to say that he was absolutely right!

Excellently made leach. Company backs up product. Have owned several. One time had to send back and company sent new one along with a toy play puppy for my doggie.Great company. Buy Alcott!

We have two rescues, a golden retriever (a larger breed) and a manchester terrier (a smaller breed). I bought two of the large sized leashes and they work great on either dog. I can take both of them out for a walk at the same time and two years later the leashes still retract like they are new. I definitely have and would still recommend these to friends. One thing of note, I do wish Amazon carried more of the colors and not just two.

I bought an Alcott leash 6 years ago after going through 4 leashes over the previous year and half. This leash lasted over 6 years till the ocean sand finally got it. If I had not gotten it in the ocean on several occasions it probably would’ve still worked. The new one the spring seems stronger and the handle just a little more comfortable. Definitely worth the money. My dog is a golden retriever and she weighs around 80 pounds.

I have tried 4 different retractable leashes, I take my dog to the beach everyday and there is never sad in this leash, it never gets twisted, the other leashes would start to not retract all the way, and this one always retracts all the way, this is by far the best I've tried, the buttons work easily most retractable leashes have hard to use buttons. everything about this leash is great!
