Lodis Audrey Brera Cross-Body Briefcase

I learned about Lodis, and this bag, from a female executive seated in First Class on a recent flight. The quality of the bag was evident the moment I saw it and she said that she loved the bag for the year that she's owned it.Everything about this bag shouts quality. The black leather is superb and beautifully finished. The quality and fit of the red piping is perfect, and tastefully done. The bag is just the right size; not too large, but big enough to hold my wife's laptop, accessories, paperwork, and her various other items that she carries to her clients. The materials used on the inside of the bag are top-notch and well proportioned.Overall, the construction of the bag is the equal, of not superior, to that of my Tumi Alpha leather bag. And, this bag should age beautifully with time.If you are looking for a bag that will set apart your female professional or executive, this is the one. She is thrilled with this purchase, and I can heartily recommend Lodis and this bag.

I purchased this item based on the review before me. Online this bag looks beautiful. The bag itself when received has a very tacky, unprofessional lining inside (black and white chevron pattern) and is a cheap fabric. My bag has literally been sitting in my office since I purchased it (have only taken it on 2 business trips) and the lining inside is yellowing. One of the zipper toggles has fallen off, and the entire zipper on the front pocket is broken. Considering I have had hardly any use out of this bag, I can only assume it is not authentic and is very poorly made. After spending $250 on a "nice" briefcase, I can only report that I am sorely disappointed and wish I had purchased directly from Lodis, or an entirely different company in general. I would not recommend this purchase in the least.

Saw this bag in a local luggage store for almost $500. As usual, I always check Amazon first. There are some negative reviews here but I’m a die-hard Saddleback Leather fan and have been for almost 15 years now. This isn’t to THAT level of quality, nor even a Tumi for that matter. But for a young female entering the business world, this briefcase looks more like a large tote bag but with the accents of a nice purse. It’s got a great number of interior accessory pockets and the padded laptop compartment is perfect size for a MacBook, Air or small 13-15” laptop.My recent college Marketing grad daughter loves it and she gets so many nice compliments about it when carrying it. Let’s hope she lands a job worthy of its quality!Highly recommended. PS - it looks quite shiny but that’s clearly because it’s waxed leather.

This is a beautiful and chic professional bag to carry my laptop and work documents to and from work and on business trips. However, after only having it for about 6 months (and having a 2.5 month maternity leave in there during which it was not in use), the leather strap is already falling apart and I'm afraid it will soon break. Considering the price I thought it would have been more durable. I won't be purchasing again. :(

This bag is great and arrived exactly as purchased. It's spacious and holds my large 17" laptop, my file folders and my portfolio. I searched for months for a stylish briefcase/laptop bag that fits my large computer and was extremely pleased with this one!Not sure what the other reviewer was taking about with a chevron liner on the inside- mine was black and just as pictured.

I just received this and have used it for a week and I love it! It looks nice and professional. Inside it has 3 sections: 1 for a laptop, 1 for papers and a third one with 3 good size pockets as well as an outside compartment. It works well for me - I like to carry a bag that can serve as a briefcase and a purse without being too bulky and this one really fits the bill. Time will tell how well it holds up but my first impression is of excellent quality.Update: after 18 months this bag has completely fallen apart. First the shoulder strap tore away from the body of the bag. I took it to get fixed and the leather guy said the strap was way too narrow for this bag and it wasn't attached well. Now it's 4 months later and in addition to the other side of the strap hanging on by a thread, the strap itself is frayed and torn in multiple places. It was a beautiful well organized bag but for $272 it needs to last more than a year and a half for me.

Great quality! Sleek, professional. Slim, but perfect size for my laptop, levenger and office supplies. The leather and stitching are excellent quality. I've been looking for a femine and fashionable yet professional briefcase for years. I'm so happy!

I bought this bag to celebrate a new job. It is stunning and I have received countless many compliments on it. The red is the perfect shade and is edgy while still professional. I did get a scratch on it right away but it's pretty minor and I've found it durable otherwise, through daily transport to and from work and court for a little over 2 months so far. I will note that the lining is the black and white chevron pattern the other reviewer mentioned, and not the solid color shown on the photos here. But, I didn't find it off-putting. It is expensive but looks it, and is worth every penny.
