Gravel - Xbox One

Works well as expected. The little boy i purchased it for loves it. So...I'm happy...lol

I read the mixed reviews and finally decided to give the game a try. I am so glad I did. Sure, it is somewhat arcadey, but as an old school gamer, I really like that. It works great with my Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 Spider Racing Wheel. Is it a Forza-level game, no, but neither is it meant to be. Highly recommend.

It's a good racing game if you want to play by your self.But it has no split-screen.And it's hard to find anyone playing it online.Also there are some racing levels you have to buy vehicles to compete in.

Milestone did a few things well:1) the vehicles with a wheel handle well as well as a game pad. I use a TX wheel and it feels a lot like Dirt 4/FH2 , not FH32) the FPS hold steady although the graphics are a little weak on a racing game the graphics are not as critical as the FPS. Unlike Monster Energy SX by milestone which struggles w/FPS3) variety Gravel has a reasonable career mode which mixes up you driving on different tracks using different vehicles immediatelyAll in all for there with a 4 wheel vehicles it’s not a bad initiative... I hope they can improve with a Gravel 2.The game is better than the previous WRC 5/6 releases IMHO

Absolutely terrible game stupid challenges stupid races, hitting arrows on a race track is not racing. Being a racer you take every inch of that cours you can the fact they make you go back and forth to arrows makes it almost impose to win the game unless you've played before or done the level ten times. Absolutely dreadful don't waste the ten dollars I thought it would be worth it at that price it's not

While it does its best trying to take on games like Dirt Rally, Need for Speed (in a way), and Motorstorm (which just can't be beaten), Gravel really never takes you in and makes you feel as "in the zone" as those games. Even the Forza Horizon Series (backwoods, snow) etc. seems a bit more exciting. Some events are more exciting than others, but that's really not saying much. The pacing is just inconsistent. The graphics are very mediocre, even on the Xbox One X (enhanced mode). So don't go looking for it to blow your mind with it's photo realistic graphics, and since it's more of an arcade type of racing game. I think that's what Milestone games was going for. Plain and simple.So it has it's moments but overall it's just another racing game that misses the mark of what it wants to do. Now if Sony decides to remaster the Motorstorm trilogy in the future, no other game will stand a change, new or old. It just had/has everything, crazy jumps, boost, wrecks, AMAZING physics, awesome landscapes and so on. So imo, go back to PS3 and play those, you'll be better off than buying, some "Gravel". I regret it, but I thought it would be a little better. And as of now there really aren't any reviews to go by.
