Loved colors and quality! Wish I had more

I'd call this an XXL size candy dish/nut bowl. It's much bigger than what you usually expect for nuts or candies. It has the traditional Spode Christmas tree inside and the bow is figural, i.e. raised up. I like how the ribbon is painted so it looks like it has a "sheen" to it. It's lovely and classic, and yet somehow there's something missing....it doesn't seem as refined as other Spode pieces that I have. It may be due to the raised bow; it looks a little gloppy, I just can't think of any other word for it. It doesn't immediately strike you as being Spode at first glance, it looks just a little generic on the outside. Can't really put my finger on it. My older Spode pieces were made in England, and this is made in China, so I wonder if that has any bearing on it. As nice as it is, I feel it could've had a better exterior design.

This bowl is very well made and looks great on my bar with Christmas candy!! Love it!
