The threads leak
I bought 2 of these 1” needle valves. Both would not seal on the threads. On further inspection the 1” NPT threads are not tapered pipe threads, but look to be straight pipe threads. Neither Teflon tape or pipe dope would make a leak tight seal. The valves did work.
