Adequate but overpriced.
Because we are in a global pandemic, I have noticed that a number of items on this site have had their prices hiked simply for profit. I believe this to be one.The product itself is a good size for 1-2 portions of chips, 4 bhajis, in fact, in that sense, it's most practical because you don't need to add stupid amounts of oil, a litre at minimum will do, litre and half at max. If you need to do more and have an airfryer too, put batches in the airfryer until you're ready to serve (like they do in a takeaway). The window to see what's cooking is a bonus, but the lid hinge is flimsy and wobbles side to side, though when closed it does seal, but it does not lock, and the basket handle protrudes from the front, so be careful if you have kids in the kitchen. It is very basic, a heating element under sealed vessel with a lid, the same basics as a kettle, except this has three heat settings. It does have cool walls, also as seen in a kettle. I'll leave it up to the reader to decide if they are happy to pay the site price for this. For me, though, it is ok. What sold this one to me was another reviewer who said, though the oil container cannot be removed to be cleaned, because the whole fryer is small, light and square you could easily funnel the cool oil from a corner with minimum spill.*I did not scald my hand as a different reviewer mentioned. So I've used it once, it's ok at best, but the hiked prices in these trying times are fast making me fall out with Amazon.

Don’t bother
Although it does deep fry it’s not worth the money. You are better off spending another 10-15 quid to get something reasonably good. The lid literally fell off the second time I opened leaving me holding it by my fingertips whilst wondering how to put it back on with 180degree oil bubbling away and inch below. The basket cannot be rested above oil so you need to ensure you have set up somewhere to drain if you are cooking batches. You will be as I only managed to fit 4 chicken strips at a time. (Probably my bad, didn’t check the size)Overall very cheap fryer, does what is says but is likely to self implode after a few minutes.

Good at first = then wasn't
This product worked really well for the first 5 months and then broke. The on/off light goes works but the oil no longer heats up.
