So far, this is a great ice cream scoop. I love the portion size—it's a little larger than normal, which I like. I've had a lot of ice cream scoops break on me, and so far, this one is holding strong.

I love this scoop. I bought it to dip out mashed potatoes for our church fundraisers. Comfortable to hold, easy to load, easy to dispense, and cleans up brilliantly. We measured out uniform portions every time with this scoop. It appears to be well-made. Glad I bought it. I'd recommend this scoop to anyone needing to scoop out a hefty portion of mashed potatoes!

My mom had her scoop before I was born and kept it well into my adulthood and this one is similar and likely to last too! Several trips through the dishwasher and no pitting or weird discolorations like other scoops. We use it for ice cream and just warm it under some hot water for a few seconds for ease of scooping. The ice cream release easily from the scoop with a simple push of the lever.Update: the release wire disconnected from the top of the scoop in some particularly hard ice cream. The seller was excellent and promptly replaced the scoop, but it has the same manufacturing issue; the “pin” on the wire that fits through the top hole in the scoop slides in and out too easily. We heated the pin and pounded it flat on the end with a little ingenuity and now it is more like mom’s old scoop=sturdier.

I bought this extra large scoop to make KETO Hawaiian Rolls (Maria Emmerich’s recipe). She recommends this size. It works great!

I used this to dip hamburger for making patties. With the meat leveled with the open side of the dipper, it holds about 5 ounces of meat. I was pleased that the thumb force to eject the meat did not cause any failure of the mechanism or the wiper blade. I only made 25 hamburger patties, so I can't evaluate durability other than to say it appeared to have no damage from the work I did.

I purchased this ice cream scoop in Jan, 2024 and used it only once to scoop out the vanilla ice cream that we made at home in our Lello Musso 4080 ice cream maker. The Restaurantware Met Lux 4 Ounce Portion Scoop 1 Trigger Release Cookie Scoop's release spring is now rusted and it broke. Also I find that the quality of materials used is very bad. It's an use piece of junk. Luckily, for me, I had ordered a Zeroll Original Ice Cream Scoop with this and the Zeroll scoop is a very good scoop. No moving parts and works like a charm.

We haven't found an indestructible scooper yet but so far this one is still functioning as it should

I love this scoop.It is the perfect size for scooping cookie dough.🍪I bought a larger one fromsame company for scooping mashed potatoes etc more then 2 years ago,use it nearly every day.Excellent quality.You can prob find a less expensive scoop however this one’s the real deal 👍
