Q: I tested this out by shining a uv black light in the bottle but it doesn’t glow. Am I missing something?

I think these have a shelf life and can lose their zing. I had a competitors sit in a dark cabinet for a couple of years and nothing under uv. I got a new bottle and it's bright like expected. Check your purchase to make sure it's still good before using.

What's a Duramax? This is a fluorescent dye that you put in your car's radiator so that you can detect leak around the engine. It really doesn't matter what make of car it is

looks to be the same! Just make sure your coolent is Dex-cool

Q: Will this work for a 2003 vw golf tdi 1.9t coolant system?

It should work with any cars coolant system. It's intended to detect leaks, but you'll also need a UV (black light) to be able to see where the leak is
