I have always suffered from acne and have used Proactive off and on for many years. I know that my skin changes with the different seasons and I wanted to see if switching to a different product would make a difference. My breakouts were more consistent with this one, so I am switching back to the original.

Product is a bit different than the 'original' formula line. Non-gritty, more of a mask thickness. Cleans well with no irritation on my sensitive cheeks. Slight odor after using, not during, bit quickly disappates. Tube is so much easier to dispense product over the hard packaging in the 'original' formula.

The product did very well to help with the teenage occasional break outs,and keeping the skin clearer overall. Happy with the product performance.

I love Proactiv and have been using their cleanser since I was a teenager. Decided to try this sensitive skin formulation and it sucks. It smells terrible and has a super-slimy-oily feel. I used it for a month then threw away and returned to traditional cleanser. Def skip this product.

I have all three pieces of the Proactiv Clean set and I have been super impressed with the results! I developed several stubborn comedones on the sides of my cheeks that just were not going away. I got this set of products & started using them in hopes that the comedones would clear up. It did take approximately a week, but I can now confidently write this review & say that this product eliminated the bumps. After each day of using this trio, the bumps reduced in size & appearance. Again, note that it took about a week for them to go away completely. I have also noticed a significant improvement in the overall appearance of my skin since using this trio. My skin, quite honestly, is glowing & appears lighter & more even in tone. I am truly loving this trio!As for this cleanser specifically, it is thick & creamy, and it lathers well. My face does feel clean & refreshed after using, and I have not experienced any irritation despite it containing sulfur, which can sometimes irritate skin. Note that if you wear make-up, you are going to want to do a double cleanse with another cleanser first. This one will burn the eyes if you get it in them. Take off make-up with another cleanser first, and then finish up with this one.

I ordered this for my daughter; she has oily, sensitive skin but does have to deal with very occasional break-outs. I thought this would be a good skin care product to have on hand when she notices a blemish or two beginning to develop. She says that this cream-based cleanser is thick and rich, goes on her skin easily and lathers up very nicely. It rinses away completely, leaving her skin feeling clean with no residue. The scent isn't all that pleasant (the product does contain sulfur, after all) but it it not too strong or overpowering. And it doesn't linger. The face wash is non-irritating, but it can be rather drying, so she needs to be sure to follow up with a moisturizer. The price does seem a bit high, but the tube contains 6 ounces, and only a small amount is needed. It is quite effective, so I think it is well worth the cost. I appreciate that the full list of ingredients is shown in the product description and that this cleanser is made in the USA. The product arrived properly sealed.
