Like the side elastic at the waist
Seem very well made - have them on for out to the garden now. Like the side elastic at the waist. Good length (am 5'7")

Somewhat small; Could be remedied with a little stretch in fabric to allow better movement.
These fit me to a certain extent. I think they are way overpriced for the fabric used, which is 100% nylon, which, in turn, has no give. That said, the waist band does have elastic, thank goodness, and the waist fits me perfectly. It is the lack of give in the seat and knees when bending or climbing that makes these pants less than suitable for hiking. There is no elastane/Spandex or Lycra to provide the give hikers or outdoor enthusiasts need to move freely. The pure nylon is restrictive. I do like the pockets, but with no give in the rest of the pant, putting anything into the pockets would just make the pants be more restrictive. Someone mentioned that these are low rise pants, but for me, they are neither low rise nor standard waist, but somewhere in between. In comparing these with my favorite hiking pants by Aspen, which have a lot of give and are insect repelllent, these would be my back up pants when my others get dirty.

Comfortable, and keeps biting insects away
These have been working so well for me, I don't want to go outside to garden or walk the dogs wearing any other pants. I had several ticks on me at the beginning of the season. I garden a lot, and we live near woods with deer, and near wetlands too. I have never had an insect bite again, while wearing my outfit from Exofficio (we also have lots of mosquitoes and chiggers, so these clothes are remarkable). These pants are very wide-legged, for someone like me who has been wearing skinny jeans for years. But lightwaeight, cool and comfortable in the summer 85 degree-heat. They actually look attractive, too. I'm 5 ft 7 and a half inches (weigh 145), and pants are usually too short, but the medium are a perfect length on me. They are kind of loose, and if I were wearing them in public, more I think I would take them in at the waist. After the scare of those tick-bites, I wouldn't want to go outside at all if it weren't for these Bugsaway Exofficio clothes. I bought some permethrin spray and sprayed some of my own clothes, but the Bugsaway clothes seem to work better. Worth the expensive price.

POOR QUALITY, POOR DESIGN AND POOR FIT.
The only good thing I can say about these pants is that they are lightweight and the idea of convertibility is handy for hiking and camping gear. However, they need to be adjusted for better fit for a woman's figure. These are cut straight like a man shape and therefore do not fit comfortably. They did not look attractive at all. Was also concerned about possibly being poisoned with the built-in bug repellant on the material. Had to return.

Way too Long
Way too large and long. I'm 5"6" and even with heals it is too long. Returned it. But if it was the right size it might have been a keeper. Loved the lightness of the fabric and options but really did not like the look of the zip on and off.

They do up beautifully and are very comfortable
Though a bit large I was able to wear them on my first fishing trip. They do up beautifully and are very comfortable.

Does the job keeping bugs away
These do run a little small in the hips, so I sent back and order a size up, they are also a couple of inches long but I did now hem them since the extra length helps keep out the bugs. It would be very easy to either add elastic or Velcro to tighten them around the ankles. Kept the bugs away
