Whatever your view is on coaching whether it is tactics or technique first sooner or later you will need to use tools to visually explain this to x number of players on the team.This whiteboard has a full pitch on one side and half pitch on the other with a blank list for starters and substitute players. On the full pitch side you will find elasticated place holders for the included coloured pens. Plus you get numbered magnetic board pieces to show the position of both team players, goalies. They even included the ball and referee!The great thing about this coaching board is that you can take it anywhere, it is highly portable. You could use it on a pitch or even at the park to guide players visually. The board is pretty tough and flexible, you just have to be careful not loose any of the pieces so I suggest keeping a bag for the pieces a bit like what you get with a scrabble board or even an art case might be a good idea, failing that there is always the trusty old carrier bag!If you remember the game and pieces that came with Subbuteo you could even use your own players on this board instead of magnetics not only for coaching but you could even play a mini game of Subbuteo!I feel this is good for parents who are enthusiastic about teaching their kids tactics and technique but schools would find this invaluable especially for preparing for matches at home or way.Good quality, sturdy board with accessories. Definitely worth the money but Prime members may benefit from using a voucher if offered a discount.

Does the job. I just would prefer a bigger size.

My son in law has been drafted in to coach my grandsons junior football team, so I thought this would be a useful item for him to have. At first he was a little uncertain about using it, but he’s found it really useful for explaining to a mob of nine year olds why they’re better off playing as a team. I’m not sure whether an adult team would see the same benefit, but the visual example works much more effectively with youngsters than a fifteen-minute verbal planning and explanation session. It’s best to see something like this as an additional communication tool rather than a magical solution to developing teamwork. Any group of people at any age contains a wide range of communication and learning preferences. This is ideal for those people who prefer visual prompts rather than listening to a lecture. It would be easy to say it’s too expensive for what is essentially a dry wipe board. That would be a mistake as it’s really the printed information and double-sided function that’s useful: it has a full pitch diagram on one side and a half pitch on the other so it’s very flexible. There’s even a space to keep notes and records. The multiple magnetic dots are eye-catching and really help to keep young people focused. It’s a really useful tool for anyone who’s coaching and it’s easily worth the price.

My husband plays a fantasy sports board / miniatures game, called Blood Bowl. He's forever planning his cool plays and strategies on pieces of paper, or setting up the board and running scenarios against a nonexistant opponent.I bought him this magnetic tactics board so he can plan and re-plan these tactics over and over. All I needed to do was to print out a blank Blood Bowl board and stick it in place with tape. As long as the magnets on the pieces could stick to the board through a sheet of A4, then all is good. They can, so it is.I only dropped this by a star because the board has a noticeable bend in it, and thus it doesn't lie flat.

This is a quite brilliant set and makes describing tactics before a game and at half time quite simple and straightforward. It probably won't help us get promoted to the Premier League, but the magnets are strong and easily moved to show younger players how we're going to perform on the pitch, and specifically from free kicks and corners. I don't use the pens to list the team on the board. Visually, this is an excellent tactics board, big enough for all the team to see and simple enough to use. None of the players have developed a weak magnet and fallen off the board yet. It hasn't improved our results yet, but at least we all know what we're supposed to be doing.

Strong and sturdy materials. Easy to use. Item arrived very well packed, so excellent start, perfect size and more important top quality looks and feels great , for the price can’t fault it, 10 out of 10 from me very happy indeed and would purchase again 👍

Markers work good

Nice solid board some 41cm x 29cm marked out as a full sized pitch on one side and the center circle to a goal on the other. That side also has a section for writing the names of Starters, Substitutes and scores on.Comes with red and yellow magnetic counters to use for positioning players as well as two pens complete with erasers. The board has a handle and although the counters stick well I’m not sure I would trust walking around carrying after I had laid out the pitch and positions :-)If you are into football tactics then you won’t go far wrong with this. Perhaps could have done with being a little larger but otherwise goal.
