I used this to light up my trailer light on my small boat as I had to relocate the license plate to the vendor as where it sat was too low. To be legal I need to light my plate so this cam in handy. Very simple to install using basic screws and as far as wiring it couldn't be easier. I extended the wires using butt connectors with the shrink wrapping tubes and everything worked right away. White wire to the ground and that black wire to the brown trailer wire for the side marker and old plate light wire. 15 minutes or less and all done.

I bought this as I have a hitch cargo carrier and needed to relocate and illuminate my license plate. The bracket fits perfectly along the holes of the license plate. Easy install! I cut the white and brown wires off the 4-pin, and connected the white and black wires off the light to them. Very bright light compared to size. Light coverage covers entire plate and then some on the ground. Being weatherproof helps as well!

I ordered this bracket to mount the license plate on our new street legal side-by-side. The installation was easy with two screws, and the LED light fully illuminates the license plate at night. I would have given 5 stars overall except for the fact that the light was attached crooked on the bracket. this was not an issue to me, as the bracket is mounted under the back where it is less noticeable. However, if it were mounted in plain sight - like on the back of an RV or hauler, I may not have used it.
