Why this is now the only diaper we use – from a Wound Care Specialist
This is a bit of a read but stick with me because if you’re reading this then you’re likely a parent of achild in diapers or maybe expecting your first. If that’s the case then it will be worth your time.First – I think this is the first review I’ve ever written on Amazon. I read a ton of them (like everyone) buthaven’t felt the inspiration to ever write one until now.My daytime job is in wound care, so helping people with chronic wounds caused by burns, infection, trauma, or many other underlying medical conditions. I think this gives me a bit of a unique perspectivewhen evaluating diapers. My 24-hour a day job is parenting our amazing 11 mo. old. (who onlyhappened after years of IVF…but that’s a story for another day).Probably not surprisingly, when we started researching diapers my number one priority was the healthof our kiddo’s skin. So this made me ask 2 questions:1) How quickly does the diaper remove moisture from the part of the diaper in contactwith the skin?2) How breathable (aka “natural”) are the materials used to make the diapers are.Let’s start with the second point…To say that there is a lot of “greenwashing” (if you haven’t heard this word before, look it up.Very interesting) going on with baby diapers is a huge understatement. When I went down therabbit hole that is researching “eco-friendly diapers” I discovered an entire world wherebasically everyone says theirs is the best and the most eco-friendly and have laboratory testingto prove it and they’re all splitting hares (see what I did there) on the details of each individualmaterial. Then you have tons of eco-friendly blogs that review the diapers, but they seem likethey’re being paid to do it. Bottom line – diaper brands aren’t legally required to disclose whattheir diapers are made of, and everyone says theirs are the most pure so there’s no way to becertain which one really is the most eco-friendly.With than in mind, much of my reasoning why Terra is the best option here is empirical becauseit’s basically impossible to prove so take it with a grain of salt... 1) The company is based in NewZealand. It just seems like culturally New Zealand isn’t as profit-driven as we are. I also reallylike that they’re legit with their claims… 2) They say they’re 85% plant-based when some othersmake claims of 100% this or 0% that. Why would you say you’re 85%, which is clearly less thanothers, unless you were refusing to play the greenwashing game?Back to the first point…This is where they really sold me and the main reason we’re investing (because let’s face it,these are NOT the cheapest option) in our baby’s skin and diapers. I saw a video on Insta fromsomeone I follow, Jamie Grayson, where he did an actual physical side by side test of how muchliquid each eco-friendly diaper holds and how QUICKLY the top layer of each diaper dried out. Icould not believe how quickly the top layer of the Terra dried out vs all the others. It wasliterally dry in seconds whereas the other ones were all still wet when the test was done. I don’tknow why more people aren’t talking about this because it’s SUCH a critical aspect of keepingskin healthy and avoiding diaper rash and bacteria growth that is common when a baby sits intheir wet. This was all I needed to see as a wound care specialist to stop looking, but for moreproof just google “moisture and diaper rash mayo clinic” to see what I mean. On top of that, the amount of liquid that the Terra absorbed was waaay more than the others. They talk aboutthis on their Amazon page but the video was way more impactful and it was crazy to see. Sincewe started using them, we’ve had 2 leaks (but both were because my husband was still workingon his diaper changing skills!) and critically, ZERO cases of diaper rash.Bottom Line -In my opinion, Terra is hands down the winner when it comes to the health of our baby’s skin.Hope this was helpful!

Softest eco diapers
I was looking for a new diaper when our original diapers we bought went out of business. When you search for Eco diapers so many show up that are truly not eco-friendly with all their dies and cool designs on them. Decided to take a chance on these even though they were some of the most expensive. I'm so glad we chose these diapers because they are the softest diapers and our little one has such sensitive skin. I encourage anybody and everyone to at least give this type of brand a try and you probably won't go back. And if you are worried with the price tag on it I would at least get a set for your child overnight and during long naps and then you can go to cheaper route during the day when you're changing frequently but these are well worth the price and comfort of your little one.! Will now try their other products because of the eco friendly products and how great the diapers came!

Nice but too big to be for newborn
Wish they were a little shorter as our newborn couldn’t wear them until she was 8 pounds and then still had to fold the front which means the straps don’t have the full section to grip to. Legs holes also were too big and had gapping which caused leaks. Maybe Terra could look into making an under 10lb design size like Honest which is the only non-chemical diaper we’ve found that fits her little waist.

So very absorbent
My kids have all been big wetters lol these are great she can wear all night and still be dry! brand transparency and clean ingredients are a huge concern for me and this brand passes all the tests for me , the eco consciousness is a big plus as well! They are soft , definitely not the softest on the outside but the inside is equal to pura (another great brand) and Millie moon

Stays dry… sort of
My baby pees a lot and sleeps 12+ hours overnight. He’s still happy and comfortable when he wakes up and the top sheet against his skin feels dry. The problem is, the pee starts to seep through the outer layer of the diaper. It’s not leaking from the waistband or legs, the whole front of the diaper is wet with pee. This is only a problem for overnight, so I just put a cloth diaper cover over the top. These are still my favorite diapers and I’ll keep using and recommending them, but the seeping is pretty annoying.

Great
These are great diapers! They are all on the larger side by quite a bit. Usually I’d go up a size for night time, and these are still large for that. We won’t be purchasing again, but they’re very clean and absorbent.

Worst diapers ever! Don’t waste your money!
I got so excited seeing this diapers and thinking they might be similar to Parasol in their designs and quality.Umm it was worse. Waste of money. They are bulky and uncomfortable plus they leak. My toddler hated it.I still have more than half left.I’m probably gonna need to give away or discard, pretty sure my son won’t wear them again

Sadly Soaks Through Diaper!
I really wanted to like these diapers as they are one of the most accessible "non-toxic" diapers in Canada. They also feel incredibly luxurious and soft. However the first night I put my 4 month old in the size 3 (he is 16lbs) I had to change him in the middle of the night ! The diaper fit properly and the leakage did not happen from the legs. The actual diaper itself had soaked through so much that when I put it on the table it left a wet mark. He sleeps roughly 8-10 hours at night and I have never experienced this with the pampers pure diapers. I'm hoping to have more success with ecopea or ecoriginal diapers (Both of which are difficult to get in Canada). Very disappointed given these diapers are nearly 1.00 per diaper! I gave it a 3/5 star because they hold smaller pees during the day well. Unfortunately a wet breastmilk poop will saturate them too :(
