The media could not be loaded. I love the Shark brand in general, but I must say, I was so excited to get my hands on this StainStriker. I have a 1 year old, and I am in the trenches when it comes to sickness, nappy explosions, and just good old crayon in the rugs and my sofas. This StainStriker literally took away a years worth of dirt in minutes. The setup was easy, and the product is reasonable in price (i chose to purchase it on Amazon with the pay in 5 option for £129). The hose on this could be longer, but its lightweight, compact, and easy to work, so I am really pleased with my purchase and think the before and afters speak for themselves!

When the hose on my Bissell broke, I decided to try the Shark equivalent. So glad I did because it has a couple of points I really like that make it better than the Bissell for me.You can really clean the soil tank, which I couldn’t do with my Bissell, I could only rinse it out and it never looked very clean.I use the separate pet cleaner so I don’t use the main soil tank which is also great.The rubber cleaning head on the pet head is not as good as a brush but I can live with scrubbing first and then using the machine.It took a while getting used to a spray that is set back from the brush and vacuum part so to start with I sprayed the wrong area. That was just because it was different to the Bissell.All in all very glad I changed as it does see some usage.Have now discovered that all bar the pet stain brush head turn round so you either have a brush or a rubber cleaning head so even better than I first thought.

I haven’t tried other brands.I thought because it was cleaning it would heat the water but no it doesn’t. Also uses a lot of cleaning product.But it did a good job spot cleaning sofa where I had spilt coffee on a yellow sofa.

Its a new product on the market and is lightweight. It was easy to follow the instructions. It will be used for my daughters car (as she has a dog which loves water), any stains on the matress bed or sofa and certainly for the stair carpet. The price was a bit high but i suppose that ties in with the quality of the item.

Quick, easy to used, handy product. Tucks in the corner or lounge, read to go, for those puppy accidents. Really draws our the dirt, even if the carpet looks clean. Very solid and functional product.

Old dog drools on sofa all the time.....removes stains and smells in no time.... amazing product and easy to use.

I’ve never really been impressed by Shark products, yeah they’re well built but the features are generally lacking for the price point, however, I was lured in by this spot cleaner after being unimpressed by the competitor with a name with B. I might be being a bit harsh with my 1 star rating, but this machine left me feeling unimpressed after expecting good things with the colourful marketing and promises.I give it credit, it does get rid of stains, but that’s not really the machine doing that. This machine requires you to use a combination of two super strong chemical cleaners which do most the job of removing stains. The suction power is laughable and the process for cleaning is annoying. Initially thought it didn’t work but you really have to tilt the cleaner downwards (and not use the bristles) to get proper suction. This is its design, cleaning things requires multiple steps and although my items have come up clean they’ve taken ages to fully dry.And what’s worse is that you have to use a fair bit of solution to fill the tank up, I thought you could just leave this in the machine so it was ready to go for the next use but after 24 hours in the cupboard I noticed it was leaking EVERYWHERE from the bottom 😭 I may be a bit of a fool for thinking this was a thing, so now I only fill it up with a tiny bit of water and solution so I don’t waste much.It was all a bit of a let down to be honest, my search for a spot cleaner continues, I’m tempted to try one combined with a steamer next and this has firmly reminded me not to ever buy Shark again. 🫣

Unfortunately after setting up and going to clean the stairs down, I noticed a large water trail behind, thinking nothing of it or maybe I had spilled some water, I carried on only then to see a very large puddle under the unit. After looking the clean water tank was emptying out from the re fill cap centre hole, tried a few different ways to stop it but couldn't. I did not want to have to return as the plus side is the pick up is great and easy to use.
