Actually, smells like Bourbon

So I'll start this off with my husband and I both love bourbon, whiskey, and scotch. I got this as a birthday present for my husband. As soon as he opened the box and the candle he said that he smelled more honey than bourbon. I smelled it and it smells of bourbon and a small amount of honey. Our daughter smells it and smells birthday cake and lavender. He lit the candle today and says it smells of wild honey with a little bourbon. To me, it smells of a freshly opened cask of bourbon with some fresh harvest beeswax and a little bit of honey. The kid says it still smells of birthday cake and lavender. (no idea where the lavender is coming from) but I'm going to have to buy more of these candles as it smells divine and makes me wish I had some Blantons to drink right now.

I recently did a Kentucky bourbon distillery tour in Lexington (won't say which one). The smell from the rackhouse where the bourbon is aged was the best scent in life! The aroma of charred oak, vanilla, caramel, oats, etc. was heavenly!Other bourbon candles just go for the vanilla/caramel scent. This candle however captures that charred oak smell.This is a very unique scent; not for everyone. It's not quite sweet; it has an earthy aroma that reminds me of pipe tobacco. If you're looking for an authentic bourbon rackhouse scent, look no further!

If you like bourbon then this is your candle. Smells just like a rickhouse. Truly surprised by how amazing this smells. Totally worth the price.

I unwrapped this candle and took a sniff and thought oh god this is not what I thought it would be. Kind of a sour odor, which, I get it because it’s supposed to smell like a rickhouse. After lighting it though, this thing gives off the most awesome, unique smell. If it came without a label and I didn’t know what it was, I would describe the smell as sweet vanilla and honeysuckle. Poured myself a nice glass of Blantons Bourbon, neat of course, and sat in my recliner and shopped for bourbon online. As a guy I’d never ever pay this price for a candle. But hey, it’s a Blantons candle.

The best smelling candle hints of sweet/vanilla and oak and it lasts a long time. My boyfriend is obsessed with Blanton's whiskey and he loves this candle!

It doesn’t smell like bourbon or a Rick house and the candle didn’t come with a lid.

Presents very well and the smell reminded me of the warehouse tour at Buffalo Trace
