Does help slow feeding
I bought this to help my dig eat slower, it has slowed her down a bit, I think shes just one of those dogs that gulp their food. The dish is very sturdy, its not the easiest to clean trying to work around the puzzles, I leave it to soak and then clean it.

Really makes my puppy take her time over meals!
Very happy with this. Simple to clean & makes a big difference to the pace at which my dog eats. Would recommend.

At last a slow feeder that actually works
We have for the last 10 years tried to give our dogs plastic free bowls, usually bamboo and rice husk but have been unable to find a bamboo slow feeder that actually works. Until now!We have four dogs, they are all fed together and three have always eaten both their raw food or kibble calmly and without gulping. One eats like he doesn't know when he will see his next meal, or who will steal it, he has lived with us for nearly four years and has never missed a meal with us.We have tried other slow feeder bowls but he still finishes first, gulps his food and often brings it all back up, the same if he is fed in a different room from the others. For the first time he is still eating when the other three have gone outside or left the room.Other reviews have said that RAW food gets stuck and needs to be picked out with a cocktail stick, we have found he clears every morsel but without gulping any of it. We found he chases the last few pieces of kibble around the bowl, on the rare days he is fed kibble (usually when someone forgot to get food out of the freezer), but adding a splash of water from the water bowl to his food solves this problem. The only very small negative is the bright orange colour, marginally better than the ghastly green option, I would rather have pastel colour or neutral colours but I can put up with it for a few minutes twice a day if it stops him bringing his food back up after bolting it.

Really slows our dog down
Our Labrador wolfs her food even with an anti-gobble bowl so we decided to get her a more 'complicated' one. This has really slowed her down so we're pleased with it (not sure she is though!). The only thing I'd say is that some anti-slip 'stuff' on the bottom of the bowl would be much appreciated as the bowl slides around our tiled floor followed by our dog. We're going to see if we can find something suitable to modify the bowl.

Brilliant for a greedy lab
Our lab already had a slow feeder bowl but didn’t seem to work for her. This is great it really does slow her down I just find I have to put in the dishwasher now as it is full of her slobber afterwords. Definitely recommend and it’s a great size

Excellent product
This has managed to extend the dogs' feeding time from less than a minute flat to about 5 or 6 minutes. Bought it 'cos one of my shelties is regurgitating food and this should help. Also going to feed them 4 times daily instead of twice (same amount). I'm hopeful that this will help stop the regurgitation. An update just short of a year after purchase……..I still think this an excellent product but although my dogs are fed dry kibble, you still need to clean the dish. Someone said that this is not necessary with dry food. Do not believe it. It would be totally unhygienic not to wash it fairly regularly…I'm not saying every day but say once a week or so. And that's the rub. It is very difficult to clean properly. I find myself soaking them (2) in boiling water with domestos in it. That's reasonably successful and then I wash it with fairy liquid….all by hand. Not ideal but despite this I think it is an excellent product. (I have 2 Shetland Sheepdogs) and they are blessed with longish snouts. An addendum........ After washing the bowls one fell off the draining board, and smashed on the floor. The end result was some sharp edges where the dog could damage its tongue. SO I've just bought another one to replace it (3 years old anyway). Must be good !!

Fantastic sturdy Slow Feeder
I bought this for my 6 month old Labrador. He gobbles his food, so this purchase was to replace a previous smaller slow feeding bowl. This bowl is very sturdy and big, it easily takes 225g of kibble and would fit double that amount if needed. My pup takes around 10 minutes to eat his food now instead of 60 seconds. It washes up well. I don’t think it can be put in the dishwasher, so I use a squirt of washing up liquid, soak for a couple of minutes and rinse. I would definitely recommend this bowl, especially for larger breed puppies and dogs. My pup enjoys the challenge of eating his food too.
