The media could not be loaded.  excellent watercolor paper I got it for travel since with the watercolor block you end up with a bunch of loose paintings piling up in your art bag. I don’t know if I would recommend it for beginners only because it’s pretty expensive, compared to paper that’s not quite as good and is way cheaper. at a certain point a beginner will become frustrated with certain aspects of the paper’s performance and that is the point where they might want to get this quality of paper.

The paper is cotton and of proper weight for fast sketches on sight. It is worth purchasing if one plans to do plain air painting during holiday when time for the activity is short. It is not for final artwork, but rather for quick studies and to capture the vibe on sight with watercolor, gouache, and ink.

If that had larger sizes it would be better.

The price was higher than a previous purchase but the paper is great quality.

Odds are good that if you're looking at this sketchbook, you're familiar with the quality of Arches paper. This sketchbook doesn't disappoint in that regard. The paper takes water well, it also holds up to layering, lifting, and scraping.Make sure you have artists' tape on hand though. The spiralbound nature of the paper leads to it buckling upwards a lot if you do not tape the edges down.
