Not quite what I anticipated
This clock is well built and aesthetically pleasing. It does not offer the option of the Westminster chime as is stated in the product description. The pendulum is not sturdily built and bends easily. In fact, the pendulum arrived noticibly damaged even in its sealed packaging. It proved to be not quite what I expected.

Howard Miller clock
This clock looks nice but only one chime works. It has three different chimes. St. Michael, Whittington and Westminster. Only the Westminster works.

Expensive, Fair Quality
This was a gift, and for the price I expected much better. To start with the pendulum is very flimsy and cheap; it bent slightly just attempting to connect it to the clock mechanism. The metal isn't much thicker than aluminum foil... The front wood and glass door is held closed with a small weak magnet and not an actual latch. It is of fair quality compared to other similar clocks I have, but not great. Craftmanship on the wood seems fair with some alignment issues on the wood seams and also the bottom is open in the middle with about a 5 inch void up to the inside clock floor. Not a completely solid clock. When received, several screws were loose on the back with one complete out and inside the plastic bag wrapped around the clock. This clock does not appear to be completely hand made. Several of the wood sections appear to have been machine made in bulk and then assembled. I would say this clock might be worth $700 and not $1400.
