Q: Is it leakproof if accidentally kicked or thrown in purse?

Hello, I'm Dr. Valerie Ulene, one of the co-founders of Boom Home Medical. The Loona's snap-close lid makes it "leak-resistant" although not completely "leak-proof". In the next few months, Boom Home Medical will be introducing a travel-sized Loona called the LoonaGo. It will have a completely secure lid that seals ALL liquids tightly inside.

Q: can this be used lying in bed, or must you be sitting or standing?

The Loona is designed to be used seated on the side of your bed or standing up next to the bed, whatever you find most comfortable. Boom Home Medical is in the process of designing additional products, including a urinal made to be used lying in bed, that we hope to have available to customers in the upcoming months.

Q: Thoughts on men using it. Expecially the elderly. Great Idea.

It does not work for women, but would more than likely be good for an elderly gent. I speak as someone who ordered it for myself post knee surgery, and also being a nurse. My first thought after it not being female user friendly for my purpose, is that it could certainly be used for a man.

Q: If you can't use it lying down, what good is it?

Yes, you have to stand up at least partially to get it properly placed underneath you. It still beats a trip to the bathroom in the middle of the night.
