TRIXES USB 3.0 SuperSpeed Extension Cable Male to Female 1.5M Blue

Bought this along with a plugable powered hub, as I recently got a new Mac and wanted to leave my workspace clear and that meant putting all my drives etc on a unit under the desk. Rather than struggling with the short supplied lead on most devices today, I added this lead and have to say, so far, it does exactly what it says it will do.I do a lot of video editing and use primarily thunderbolt drives for that, but still have some USB 3.0 bits that need to be connected. There doesn't appear to be any apparent differences when used direct or through the lead, on the basic trials that I have done.If I could find a negative, it would probably be that I would have preferred the lead to be black (or white to match other Apple products), but that's just a personal thing and not a performance issue. Aside from that, nothing. I'm actually getting another one and a hub for my back up machine!

Contrary to another review on here the length IS 2 metres. Perhaps the reviewer was sent the wrong cable or one which slipped through Trixes quality control?Using USB 3 with a USB 3 enabled device makes a massive difference in transfer times and this has been well worth the small sum of money it cost me.It seems a good robust cable with solid, well made connectors. I can now access the USB 3 ports at the rear of the case without problem. Price quality value and performance all met or exceeded my expectations. And to top it all, it was delivered really promptly.My new computer has two USB 3.0 ports not-so-conveniently located at the back of the system unit, and as most of my time is involved with the monster files associated with Hi-Def video on SD cards, the facility to move data in and out at maximum speed is really useful. Sadly, my USB 3.0 card reader has too short a lead for convenient use, hence my desire to extend the cable length despite apprehension about prejudicing transfer rates.Whilst it is early days, I am really pleased with the early performance I am getting from this quality piece of kit.

Works great! I received speeds of 88-92 MB/second on transfers of 3GB files while connected from my PC to a 1TB Seagate GoFlex USB 3.0 (usb powered) portable drive. These cables were attached to my PC's USB 3.0 ports.It took between 30 & 35 seconds to transfer a 3GB file using this method. Firstly I bought this cable for convenience, so I wouldn't have to crawl behind my PC every time I wanted to used USB 3.0The cable feel very well made and has a tight fit on my Corsair flash drive.BUT the transfer speeds while using this cable are significantly lower than without it.WITH the cable I was achieving:From USB to SSD = 40 MB/sFrom SSD to USB = 15 MB/sWITHOUT this cable (USB straight into the USB 3.0 Port on the motherboard)USB to SSD = 120 MB/sSSD to USB = 20 MB/sNot sure if it's just me, but this cable is only getting 3 start because of the transfer speeds.

This cable is working fine, but I was/am a wee bit concerned that the female connector is not as tight a fit as i would like. Just feels a bit slack and the joining cable can be pulled out with not very much force. Would not recommend this in an application where the cables are being moved around a lot. But probably fine (time will tell) in a static situation.I have it used as an extension from my laptop to a USB3 back up drive. Good price and looks good.

I have a USB 3.0 card in one of my PCs and USB 3.0 built into another. The problem with both is that the ports are at the rear of the machine.I bought several of these extension cables to plug in at the rear and bring forward over the top of the PC and allow me to plug in my USB 3.0 devices without floundering around at the back.The cables work well with no connectivity issues.So it does what it's supposed to and does it well.Five stars.

Very dissapointed with this product.As is well known most usb slots are located at the back of the computer.Why not the front I will never know.Purchased this extension lead so that I could just slot my usb stick into it without the hassle of trying to pull out my computer constantly.Without using the extension lead I was transferring a 751mb file directly to mu usb stick and was getting a speed of approx 117mb/sec which was great.When I connected up the extension lead and put my usb stick in and transferring the same file I was getting a speed of 35.4mb/sec approx.Very dissapointed .This was advertised as a USB 3.0 Superspeed cable.I think not.I have a usb 2 which is faster.Buy this if you want to but don't say you haven't been warned. Caveat Emptor as the Romans would say
