Amantes y enemigos [Lovers and Enemies]: Cuentos de parejas [Tales of Couples]

Montero is a wonderful stylist and in this collection of stories she approaches love from some unusual viewpoints including a dwarf and woman married to a blind man. She writes with fluency and economy and you are always left regretting the stories were so short.If you haven't read Montero before, this will hook you and if you are learning Spanish, this is an excellent reader that keeps your attention and rewards the effort. I'm already hooked as you'll be so you might as well buy more Montero at the same time :)
