The product information did not include the size of the base plate that attaches at the ceiling, therefore one would assume the base is a standard size and would easily cover the typical round electric boxes used in construction. One would be wrong! The base provided is ONLY 3.75" which is too small to use with standard boxes and holes most ppl will find in their homes. The fixture is very basic and might look nice but this is a huge oversight in my opinion.
