Elegant design with beautiful shiny black finish
There are 20 pieces in this set. Each piece has a lovely design, reminiscent of the Victorian Era, with a hint of Gothic or Steampunk design, thanks to the striking black finish. Forgive me, though, for not being fancy enough to know their proper names, but the set includes butter knives, large spoons, small spoons, large forks, and small forks. Please refer to my photos for size comparisons, as there is a U.S. quarter placed next to them in some photos. The spoons and forks feel of average metal sturdiness, so I wouldn't try too hard to bend them, as it's possible you just might succeed. But ideally, that wouldn't be an issue to start with, since most people don't purposely bend their flatware. My point is that they aren't going to bend or twist just because you touch them, but also, they might bend or twist if you put a lot of weight and pressure on them. But if you use them normally, then it's all fine.So since their metal is kinda thin, trying to use the edge of the fork to cut through a food item potentially might be slightly uncomfortable for some people, as the thin metal edge pushes into the hand. That point is somewhat subjective, though. I did notice this point for myself, but I am not bothered by it much, since that is why the set also comes with butter/dinner knives. I don't know if you could ever really declare any spoon or fork to be comfortable, but if you hold them normally, use them normally, then they do rest easy in the hand.Overall, I do really like this set, and am happy with their performance so far. They are average quality in their thickness/sturdiness, but also are not too expensive for what they are. I wouldn't expect top tier quality for this price. Plus the beauty of their design does increase their market value, confirming, in my opinion, that their price is fair.Since they are average quality strength, I would give the average of 3 stars, but their beautiful design adds a star back. So a total of 4 stars out of 5 stars.

Beautiful, but not high quality flatware...
I want to be head over heals in love with this set of flatware. It's absolutely gorgeous, and the black finish makes it even more striking. But there are two areas of low quality that I just can't overlook. The first is the weight of the individual pieces. They feel light, like an inexpensive budget set you buy for your first apartment. The knife is the only piece that feels more like quality weighted, but none of the forks or spoons. The second area is with the spoons and forks. The handle has a lower quality finish to the edges that are more abrupt, not smooth the way a quality piece would be. Again, this level of quality is found in the inexpensive budget sets, not high quality flatware. If high quality flatware isn't the priority, then this is a beautiful set, but I wouldn't use this set for company.

Disappointed with the cutlery
The soup spoons are the size of serving spoons The salad forks looks like they are for hors d’oeuvre. I was very disappointed with this cutlery set. The material seemed more like tin than like stainless steel. They are not like the picture shows. I returned my two sets, the same day I received them.

Worthy replacement for my old flatware
i was looking to substitute some of my old spoons and forks and stumbled upon this flatware set. I must admit that this set is really "PREMIUM". I really loved the craftsmanship and design. It is very nice and does not have a cheap look as some others I have bought under the same price category.I definitely give it 5 thumbs up for the details and the mirror shine they have. They have a good weight and you could tell right away that they are well constructed. The only downside (and maybe this is just me), i find that the large spoon is kind of oversized a bit for my taste, but it is not of great concern.

Complete set
This is a complete set of silverware, four each of a small spoon, larger spoon, small fork, larger fork, and butter knife. It arrived in a plain box, so probably not the greatest for gifting. Each piece of silverware was in its own plastic sleeve, which was then in another plastic bag by type, which I guess protected each piece but seemed wasteful. The ends of the silverware look regal, like royal crowns. The only downside I've seen with them is that the decoration on the end of the large spoons and large forks will not fit in the silverware holes in our dishwasher. Otherwise, they're what you'd expect for silverware.

looks fancy but not completely practical
This silverware set looks really fancy. The ends have a nice detail on them with the hollowed out pattern on all but the knife. The larger spoons are huge and seem more like a serving spoon than practical for a soup spoon. The small salad forks are much smaller than typical and not realy practical for a that use either. Honestly i should have paid attention to the specifications s thay are shown here an dgive you an idea of what I'm talking about. Maybe these are standard sizes outside of the U.S. but they just dont seem right to me. I plan to use these as extra utensils for our small guest home, so they will serve the purpose.
