Everyone should have one or two of these handy for your older refrigerators, freezers, etc.Super simple to wire up, and will always solve your compressor issues (if that's the actual issue).Don't throw out the fridge, spend a few bucks and 20 min to install one of these!

My Chest freezer refused to run following a power outage, so I did a little nosing around and decided to try installing one of these devices. I figured I would risk $10 on this before I spent over $300 on a new freezer.The 3 in 1 unit was delivered quickly and the installation was easy. (Hint watch a couple of videos on the subject first!)After installing the start unit, I plugged the freezer back in, turned it on and voila! The freezer is running perfectly and has continued to run for several days.I would highly recommend this product.

i ordered a couple more to have on hand if needed. This starter saved my entire refrigerator/freezer full of food. I was able to buy one of these locally 2 years ago. at that time i ordered one of them from here on Amazon and wow! i was glad i did, our last appliance parts dealer closed here last year so we have no local appliance parts or service. The starter i had went out on Christmas day. Woke up to a puddle of water under the freezer door. I grabbed the spare starter that i had and 10 minutes later the frig was running.I dont know how long these are supposed to last but for the price if i replace it every 2 years its a bargain! The OE type starter is discontinued so i guess this is the only fix other than buying a whole new $1000+ refrig/freezer.

Works - Both times. I used one of these over 10 years ago to fix our second fridge. Recently, and unfortunately, while out on a trip, this fridge went out. We came back to a warm fridge and about $500 of spoiled food. Worse yet, the thought of having to find a fridge today with a high quality compressor.I have a 22 year old 18 cu ft fridge with a great Brazilian made compressor that have a fantastic reputation. Mine keeps the freezer section at -10 to -20 F. Deep freezer performance, not what you expect out of a conventional top load. It keeps the fridge at rather steady 31-32 degrees, which in practice, is just above freezing water, except in one spot.After dealing with the mess and considering buying a new fridge, I decided to diagnose the problem. I really trust the build of this fridge than most of what is available today. Happily, I determined that the compressor was fine, but some control circuit was out. I determined in was a failed cap.I looked up this part, and bought the exact same part. Replaced and all works as it did, and as it should.Fortunately, my model doesn't have some of the complicated and useless circuitry many fridges have in recent years. With more circuits, the diagnosis can include several more parts that can appear to cause the same problem. I found this time around that diagnostic guides can lead you down a rabbit hole that could just cost you more money. Experience told me it wasn't likely to be one of the more expensive electronic parts (even if my model had them).If the compressor starts, but stops soon after starting, and the case of the compressor starts to cool, try this before doing anything else.

it worked fine but now my compressor won't shut off run 24/7

Easy to install and affordable. No extra noise on the compressor sounds like it’s working like before. Set power to unit after wiring it up and refrigerator started cooling right away.

Wired it up to my mini fridge, no more hard starting, works a treat.
