Original Olympus replacement.
Arrived quickly via post. Direct replacement for original unit, easy to fit. For what it is, it's pricey but although pattern parts are cheaper (not by much) they are lower quality and not necessarily as good a fit.

A lot of money for a piddly bit of plastic/rubber.
In the good old days, original equipment manufacturer replacement eyecups were typically well-made: decent quality rubber (genuine or artificial) fixed to a decent metal or good-quality rigid plastic bayonet mount. And usually supplied with a box and instructions even though it was obvious how to fit them. But this genuine OEM item is made absolutely as cheaply as it could be. For environmental reasons I also don’t approve of the small unreusable plastic bag compared to a small compostable/recyclable cardboard box.I’ve no doubt that the eyecup will last and do it’s job. But it’s more awkward to fit than the old types, and far more prone to be damaged if removed to switch to a different eyecup. That is one of the entire points of “system cameras”. And yet this doesn’t even come with instructions to fit and remove it and the camera user manual doesn’t mention it either unless you additionally pay for a copy of the full user manual. If you’re wondering, the Olympus genuine eyecups are removed by placing your thumbs either side of the eyecup and firmly sliding upwards. There’s a small plastic securing tab on the bottom, and if the eyecup has been removed before or is a couple of years old that commonly breaks off from fatigue. Refitting is simply a matter of sliding the eyecup down over the viewfinder window from the top of the camera, ensuring both sides properly engage into the tiny slide-rails and that the clip at the bottom edge snaps firmly into place. If it doesn’t do so then you’ll lose the eyecup in next to no time.

A better price would have won a fifth star
It's exactly the right part, so little else to say. A better price would have won a fifth star!
