my husband found these to replace our 30 year old cabinets - great find - these are very sturdy and will last another 30 years. Quality materials - not cheap or flimsy. A good value for the product - you always get what you pay for - and a bit more $$$ is worth it when it comes to kitchen cupboards that open and close every day. Recommend

Have kitchen cabinet door hinges that are original, house built 1985, so ~35 yrs old. Original hinges now really don't "shut" and hold tightly shut the doors to the cabinets we use the most, but still pretty decent closure on mostly "unused" cabinets (like over fridge, were we can't reach). Went to Lowes to find replacements, had in white and silver, originals are bronze, no dice, sorry. This on Amazon was closest we could find in color for this type of hinge (elsewhere similar at higher prices), holes on cabinet frame line up with old hinges, holes on cabinet door from originals are in an arrowhead pattern pointed toward you, whereas holes on these new ones are triangular arrangement pointed toward cabinet door. No biggie, everyone has a cordless drill, 3 small holes per hinge, not their fault, no point deduction, maybe physics, maybe patent, maybe style, who knows.However, point deduction is that the several original hinges that are still in good shape still have a fair amount of "snap" at the end. These new ones do have that final few inches of closure, but it doesn't seem as strong and brisk as the "good" originals. For these new ones, I had hoped for a little more pep in the springs. Regarding durability, hopefully, these hinges will outlive us, and I'll never know if they, too, last 35 years before someone does a complete kitchen remodel. These, like the original, have a plastic housing encasing the springs. It is that plastic that at this point has aged to the point of just falling apart in the originals. In 30-35 years, I'll try to remember to post about the durability of these replacements (along with updating all my other Amazon reviews).

I'm giving my kitchen a diy face-lift and these were the perfect fit for my cabinets! I even was able to use the existing holes, so no plugging and drilling needed. They went up easily enough with just myself, but I'd still recommend a second set of hands to install. They have been in use for about a year now, give or take a bit, and have held up great. No scratching color off and they work as intended. I did first buy the wrong type of hinges but I'm hoping I can use them in the bathroom when the time comes. These worked out well for my 1950's original cabinets and I am very satisfied with them. 😀

These hinges look nice and are of good quality. However, for us they created a 1/2" gap between the door and the cabinet, which we didn't like. I would still recommend them if they are the right product for another person, but they didn't work out for our family.
