Hope you're good at reading IKEA-type instructions...
This kit is awesome. It's a lot of fun once it's built. It'll also teach you how to be a better (or worse) parent, depending on your natural disposition. My 10yo and I built this over the course of a week and now he's learned 14 new cuss words.I noticed they left out a few words in the age recommendation. It says 6+, but you'll quickly realize the + means you should add a mechanical engineer and someone with multiple years of experience reading IKEA instructions.Pros: great project and great exercise in patience.Cons: must have a lot of patience.Pro tip: When installing the control module, contrary to what would make sense, make sure to install it with the power switch and lights facing the back of the robot, not the inside of the belly compartment where it would be easier accessed.

Wall-E is now with me for good
This kit is great. Like working a puzzle, this kit takes time to build. There were different options on how to build it too. I stuck with the instructions for the closest to the movie design. The parts fits almost perfectly. Had a little problem getting the eyes to fit but with a little sanding, it works perfectly now. The remote controller isn't like the high dollar remotes and toys, but it does allow you to maneuver it in every way as the movie Wall-E did. The movable parts such as arms, head, hands and front storage door works perfectly. I definitely recommend this as a future purchase for all ages.

Fun project for all ages
I'm almost 40 and got this as a surprise for my girlfriend and I to build together. She was so excited and wanted to call him Johnny 5. The build was decent but about 3/4 of the way through ran out of a specific part in a specific color as called for by the instructions. Turns out there is a shortage of that part in black but they included enough in gray to finish so be prepared for that. Also robot is much faster than anticipated so takes a little bit to learn how control well

Son loves it!
My 9 year old son loved putting it together and playing with it! He put it together fine by himself. Sometimes the eyes pop off and arm. He plans on super glueing them on. He still loves it though!

Great price, great quality!
This is not an official "Lego" toy but it's fully compatible with Lego. I wanted to get a nice motorized Technic Lego set for my son for Christmas, but they either don't make them anymore, or were all sold out if they do. I came across this and was hesitant knowing how awful off-brand Lego toys were when I experienced them as a kid, but I figured with that many reviews, they couldn't be wrong. These are as close to Lego quality as I could imagine, without having the official Lego stamp. The battery and receiver is one unit, as opposed to some other solutions that I have seen where it's two. Also, it is a small lithium battery, so it's less than half the size of the 6 AA cell units. The tradeoff is battery life: Well worth it!When assembled as Wall-E, it is tricky to get the charger in. It's super easy to turn on and off, though, as long as you use the included screwdriver! My 9 year old son can't turn it on or off with his skinny finger, so I wouldn't stand a chance without the screwdriver.I expect my son to enjoy Wall-E maybe a week or two, then we'll tear it apart and either build a tank, another one of the included designs, or freestyle something else. I'm seriously considering picking up another one just because of the high quality of the motors, battery, and controller; I paid $30 for just two motors (and the other bits) that use AA batteries and this just makes building that much easier due to its compact size.As a kid, I used to ask for Lego and I said if it's not Lego, don't bother! Now, I wish Lego could compete with the aftermarket. The only thing that I could find direct from Lego that's similar is a discontinued bulldozer that costs as much as a PS5. That's insanity to me, just for molded plastic. What happened to all of their motorized RC kits? I'm glad we have choices like this!

Great customer service
My 8-year-old grandson assembled this robot with assistance from an adult. It was not as easy for him as previous Lego sets but, with assistance, he fully enjoyed the experience and the final product. The robot was powerful and went up and down grassy hills and rough ground, which he enjoyed. We contacted the company regarding two small missing pieces, and these were sent to us promptly.

Good idea for a gift
Would of been a 5 star if it wasn't missing some of the little pieces and the eyes don't stay connected and keep falling off . Besides that my son absolutely loves it.
