water electrolysis? Can kill germs?

I think that all comes down to what cleaner you use. The small bottle that comes with it works well, it doesn’t have any ingredients listed and switch to using lysol clean and fresh for our hardwood floors. That does kill germs. Specifically to your question, electrolysis is not listed in the user guide. We really love this and amazed at how much dirt it finds. Hope you have the same results.

Is this really as powerful as a corded unit?

I've never owned a corded unit to compare to but I will say that I have a little who makes big messes and 2 grown men, one whonworks outdoors in all weather types. That being said, it keeps my floors looking good and even makes the house smell fresher after use.
