Q: Is there any leather or suede on these boots, or are the materials all manmade?

No leather or suede. Vegan friendly 😁. They were great really for my iceland/Greenland trip but I would use them instead of my other hiking boots that are more like a rough tennis shoe because these are more lightweight. I would not submerse them in water for a long time, but if it rains or you step in water, they are water proof. Glad I bought them.

No fur inside of the boot just cotton

Q: I wear a size 8, and I don't have wide feet or big calves or anything. Should I order my true size, or size up?

If I were you I would try 8 1/2 just because they do fit very snugly. I don't think that would be too big while giving you a little wiggle room. I range in sizes depending on the brand between 8, 8 1/2, and 9. I bought the 9, cause I do have problems with one foot being slightly larger. I'm glad I got the 9; anything smaller would not have worked.

They're not really heavy. They're super comfortable! VERY WARM
