interesting tray
these appear to be made pretty well, i haven't had them very long so i cant evaluate longevity but they have a look and feel that exceeded the price point, and i really like the tough foam tray (didnt think i would at first)

They work
They do as they’re supposed to. Now I’m not sure about longevity and if I have a problem I’ll update the review, but I believe I’ll be fine as just a hobby mechanic. The foam organizer is very nice if you have the room for it. I didn’t so I made my own.For a hobby mechanic I’d recommend.

The socket set is good as far as he knows but he hasn’t used them much
And he said it needs a better case with a lid, there is no lid

Sturdy, compact, and well-built!
First the bad:* They hit on one of my pet peeves with sockets and wrenches... they SKIPPED a size. Why is there no 9 mm socket in this set? Yes, if I had to choose between 8 and 9, I'd rather have the 8 because that size fastener is more common than a 9, but why not include a 9 as well? To be honest, my other 9 mm sockets are pretty dusty and look relatively unused, so it's probably not a big deal to skip it.Now the good:* Chrome-Molybdenum steel... as all impact sockets probably should be. I will admit that I cheat and use high-quality "regular" sockets on my impact all the time without a problem, but I wouldn't trust the swivel to survive if it weren't chrome-moly.* Six point... to prevent rounding off the corners of your fasteners, and they have the inside corners of the sockets relieved so that the sockets make contact with the fastener further away from the corners, also to help prevent rounding.* Compact... my photos show one of these Duratech sockets (on the right) compared to the equivalent size of a regular socket on a 3/8" impact swivel (on the left). You can see that there is less distance between the fastener end of the socket and the swivel... this means these swivel sockets will fit into tighter spaces than I could previously reach with my 3/8" swivel! The maximum angle is about the same between them.* Pin hole... they have a hole to support a pinned connection to your impact wrench, in case you need it.* Large, easy-to-read printing... to help you see the sizes* Nice foam rubber tray... this holds the sockets securely in place and helps you organize them. It is only a tray, though... not a full case. I'm planning to keep the cardboard box as a makeshift case because I plan to take these along on long family trips (along with my cordless impact wrench) in case I need to do any work to keep our old van running. But if you're planning to keep yours in a toolbox, this foam tray is a very nice way to do that.A few points of caution with all swivel sockets:* Keep your hands away from the swivel while using the socket... they can pinch you pretty badly. Work gloves can help protect you.* Wear safety glasses. It's a good idea whenever using ANY impact tool, but especially when using swivels, because it's much easier for the swivel to pivot and fling the removed fastener toward your face.Overall, these are very well constructed professional grade swivel impact sockets. I've never before heard of Duratech as a brand of tools, but these have been a great introduction to the brand! I now expect that anything they make will likely be professional-grade.

I have not used the socket set yet but by looking at them they look sturdy and could withstand punishment i will let you know how they do in the field
