Fresh and excellent value
Ordered in September 2023 and it was made in May 2023. Opened one up and tried it, considering it’s a vegetarian, halal and vegan MRE, it was pretty good. Also getting 21,000 kcal for this price is an amazing deal. Delivery was on time as well. I would 100% recommend keeping a box or two around just in case.

Great packaging !!
Upon opening a few of these packages I found one pack had burst open. That not withstand, the packaging seems extremely sturdy. The taste was fair (a bit mild) though there were included spices. I found the price extremely fair.

The stews/lentils are great, the 'snacks' are horrible
First off, we LOVE using MREs for camping, etc. Some family members are trying to eat less meat, so I figured this would be worth a shot. The meals themselves (lentil stew and red beans & rice) in the first one we opened were great! I'd say on-par with the best MRE meal you could imagine and better than lentils I've made at home. And then, we turned to the collection of included crackers and cookies... The crackers seemed like normal MRE saltines but were a bit off, and the spreads weren't as good as MREs. The absolute worst thing in there were the cookies -- sugar cookie and some sort of cake. Both of them tasted like CHEMICALS. The first one I ate with my son (who eats anything) and we spit it out. We chalked it up to a bad one. I took the 2nd included cookie/cake out on a hunting trip and my buddies thought I was trying to kill them. "Crushed drywall" was what they said it tasted like.I'm now hesitant to use these on a camping trip where space is valuable. I'm left with one packet short of a case here and about the only thing I can think to use it for is gag gifts or party tricks... "Hey guys, let's open this up and see how much of it we can eat until we gag!".Last off -- it feels really weird buying a case of "Vegetarian MREs" as advertised on Amazon, only to have them delivered with "HUMANITARIAN AID" stamped all over them. Did the seller steal these off the back of an FEMA truck? Seems totally sketchy.

I have four boxes of this stuff and it’s quality
You have to look at the calories because a lot of these companies lure you in and charge more for all these flavors and unique dishes when they’re not even 2000 cal but not these! These meals are 2000 calories and they will definitely fill you up and you can’t beat the price point.

Not 2023 Rations.
I received a case that was packed in June of 2020 w/ a check date of 2023... and a new check date of 2026... this box does look like it's in great shape, but it's well on it's way to 4yrs old at this point. This is not what the seller listing or the reviews indicate. The TTI label is greyed out, so temperature control wasn't maintained at some point. The price would've been fantastic if what I received was an actual 2023 ration, or even an expertly stored ration... but it's not, so it's not. I won't know what these look like until I open them up. Fingers crossed but I'm not expecting any miracles. Very disappointing.*I opened one up last night, and the snacks were all pretty stale. The seals were fine, no hiss :-( , but it definitely tasted like they had been sitting in and abandoned vending machine. I was also surprised to see that there weren't any heaters in these. You'll need to have a supply of water and be capable of boiling it in some capacity to use these in an emergency.
