A belated birthday gift for one of my grandsons.He was exuberant!Delivery was swift.

My 9 year old grandson loves this excavator! The quality of this toy is superb. The remote is easy to use and the excavator itself has a lot of functions and movement. It is also a good size compared to others of the same price range.

I actually had my dad in mind when looking at this excavator. He has run these in the past, and every time he gets in the seat of one, it almost requires the jaws of life to get him out of it. This excavator has a lot of cool little features that we both fell in love with right from the start. Speaking of start, that's where the first cool feature was found. With the excavator switch, and the controller switch, both turned on, when you press the ignition switch, a sound effect like an engine cranking starts up, and the excavator jostles around as if its engine did in fact start up. Another neat sound effect comes when backing the excavator up, it actually has a backup alarm. I haven't tried out one of the features yet where you can inject water into a storage portion of the excavator, and simulate exhaust coming out, but it does seem to be another promising aspect of this excavator. One area that caused some problems with it was when rotating the body of the excavator around. When pivoting to the left, it got to a point where it wouldn't go any further, and it started making a clicking sound like it had reached its ability to turn left anymore. I never noticed it do that while turning to the right with it. Other than that small issue, this excavator is a blast to drive. It does come with a mute button on the controller if you want to turn the sound off. This is especially nice while playing around with it indoors. It is kind of loud, but not overbearing. Overall, this excavator is a wonderful RC car to mess around with. It is very responsive, and once you get the controls figured out, it drives almost like the real thing.

Great toy for the price

This is not for the dirt. It does not have separate controls for the arm and the bucket ( witch it needs to be able to fill the bucket and put the dirt in the dump truck)This is not what I thought it would be.

This is one of the nicer excavators I have had. Lots of detail and well made. The plastic parts are well made and not brittle or flimsy. The tracks are rubber and the bucket is a metal alloy. It controlled by a multi function remote. After charging and installing one of two supplied rechargeable batteries and installing two AA batteries, not included, in the remote you are ready to go. You first have to press the button with a key icon on the remote to start it up. It will make the sound of a diesel engine firing up. Then use the various controls for movement and operating the bucket. It will actually scoop sand and loose dirt and even some small gravel. The cab can be swiveled into position just like a real excavator. You can control forward/ back and left/right movement as well. It emits steam to mimic exhaust also. There are buttons to control lights, sounds and you can put it into demo mode as well. I grandson and I had way too much fun with this RC excavator. Good thing it came with two rechargeable batteries so we could switch on and off. Really great toy and tons of fun. I highly recommend it.
