Somewhat clumsy but cuts great!
I thought this knife would be great but it turns out to be too large for me to use regularly. It is fine for big jobs such as chopping up baby-back ribs or a rack of lamb but for regular prep such as chopping vegetables. The quality is great so I bought a smaller one from the same company which is great

Great knife for the kitchen
Good weight and handle has a nice shape. The knife was not super sharp right out of the box, but it only took a few passes across a sharpener to get it just right. Works great on raw meat.

it is sharp
nicely packaged, arrived without problems. Was christmas gift for my wife who has a drawer full of many knifes, none of which stay sharp. This one will be stored in its sheath and in a different place. Kids told not to touch it.

It all depends on your expectations…
$35 for a kitchen knife is not cheap. The ads for these kind of knives make it sound like that they are allrounders, the top of the crop. After using it for about a week now I can tell you: If you like cooking, don’t expect too much. The knife is way too heavy for any delicate cutting. As expected it’s front heavy. I mean there is that huge hunk of steel. The spine measures almost 1/4”!!! I was not able to cut thin slices of tomatoes or chop onions, garlic or herbs finely. I tried to cut a head of cabbage in half. Nobe! The knife got stuck due its thick spine. Both of my chef knives (one German and one Japanese style) cut through the cabbage like butter. It’s not that it isn’t sharp. In fact it is. Lets see how long it will hold its edge. It cuts meat well. I think here the weight helps. I wouldn’t try to use it as boning knife however.I think I will use it for cutting big pieces of meat and maybe cutting though bone. But that’s about it.
