Authentic or Fake? Guidelines on how to spot them.
I'm writing this review to help people beware of fakes when buying this product. Please do not fall victim. I'm sure Amazon is not aware of this problem either, so hopefully they can improve their inventory methods. I bought this bear using Amazon prime. I've bought this bear in the past and I know what it's supposed to look like. Here is a list of things to be aware of when you receive this product.1. SIZE - The authentic bear is bigger. See picture.2. COLOR - Are your colors correct? See picture.3. LABEL - The authentic buddy ball has a stitched label. Also the bears name is on the label. See Picture4. QUALITY - The fur of the bear is soft and they use the same material for the ball. See picture.Please check your bear and don't settle for what you get. The authentic bears are made very well. I bought one for each of my kids when they were born. But this third time, they sent me the fake one and thought I wouldn't notice. I hope this helps someone. Stay safe.

BE CAREFUL - BAD ZIPPER & SHEDS A LOT
The pictures look nice, that's about all. Very poorly constructed. The zipper didn't work from the get go. It was still nice and soft though, but then it started shedding like crazy. If you have children who are going to use this, I would be extremely careful because it would be easy for them to get hurt with the zipper or to ingest the shedding hairs. It may be an okay item for adults who wouldn't hurt themselves, but I believe it is more targeted towards children. Just be very careful.

Adorable and the kids love them
I have given many of these as gifts and the kids have fun converting them back and forth, putting things inside, kicking them around the house or sleeping with the Teddy bear.

My nephews loved this and fought over it
My nephews loved this and fought over it. But a major downfall is that zipper which got caught on bear's fur and the fabric of the ball several times leading to some hysterical crying fits that it was BROKEN FOREVER with a few hours of having it. It was fixed each time so far. If the zipper is done slowly and carefully, there should be no zipper jams or child meltdowns. Just an FYI.

I gave this to my 2 year old grandson who ...
I gave this to my 2 year old grandson who loves to kick balls. He likes to kick it around but hasn't really been interested in opening it up for he bear. It was VERY DIFFICULT to get the bear to fit inside and zip it. I'm sort of neutral on it.
