Silly but surprisingly enjoyable
Considering that the overall plot is more than a bit ridiculous and OTT, I was surprised by how much I liked this book. The characters were quirky, and told from Ana's perspective it was an amusing read that kept this reader's attention from start to finish.

unable to put it down
The evil Genious of the title is the main characters 9 year old sister. The main character is a shy person who has hidden from the world by working as a virtual assistant, yet is quickly activated as a working member of the community when her sister and brother decend upon her.The politics of america have never seemed so exciting before and certainly the world of school text books. However if the evil genious can see what is wrong with them why cannot the sister. then for a bright girl I cannot see how she does not realise that monopoly may not be a good thing and how it would be to the advantage of those holding the monopoly. but then perhaps that is because I am from the UK and not america, I do like to think that we see these things. What l liked best was the main character, she seemed to be a person that I could relate to. Not so much riddled with insecurities to be a charactature, but more than aware of her failings when it came to dealing with people. she also failed to turn into a super human (as many characters have a tendancy to do) I liked when she describesd herself as channeling her mother who was able to do the vamping thing on men that she did not seem to get. This was an easy to read style that did keep me engaged in the storyline fro beginning to end. I would certainly reccomend for the holiday readers though you might find that they stay glued to it making it last a very short time.I have to admit that I dont like romance books and it would appear this author has written a few, but that kiss at the end had me hanging on - perhaps I should try some romance
