Makita 181122-A Air Compressor Oil P68

It's OEM Makita, so it's a little pricey. But, it's OEM quality and the right amount of oil which gives me peace of mind.

Oil looks good, and what i liked was that i could not overfill the engine, as the amount was just right

Same item that came with the compressor and the correct volume to easily change the fluid.

Bought this to top up my Makita oil and it is a high quality product!

just enough to fill it

Used to initialize our Makita 2400 portable compressor. This is the right viscosity and amount (fills to red dot on the sight glass). Can recommend this choice for the initial break-in run up of a new machine. We run the machine hard - in the field serving two fence staple guns. Compressor does not overheat and oil consumption is not an issue after the first 200 hours of service. Recommend changing the oil if you run past this number of hours. Pricey compared to other offerings and somewhat hard to find if Amazon is not listing it.

I started to buy off the shelf “compressor oil” and so glad I didn’t. a) off the shelf was not very much less in price, b) after reading the labels of both and the additives, I am certain the off the shelf could have been bad for the machine.

Not much to say, good oil!
