Fits like a glove in my Honeywell F25F1000 filter housing. The furnace seems to run shorter cycles times with this merv 8 filter, I had a merv 11 paper filter in it but they are becoming to expensive for my pocket book. This trophy air filter seems great at keeping the dust down or else I would be sneezing. The trophy air filter is quality made and should last a long time. I'll be saving money in the long run with this washable filter. Update 3 months after installed with a cold winter in Wisconsin, this is the best furnace filter I ever used. I did not wash this filter yet, and there is less dust in the house than if using expensive paper filter.

It was the right size and it fit perfectly. Not like these others would claim to be the right size then turn out to be smaller.

This filter is NOT a replacement for a 20x25x 4. There is a good 1/2 gap which allows the filter to wobble. The specs say it’s 3.63 inches but it’s more like 3.5. This filter may be going back. If it doesn’t perform due to the gaps it creates being too small. All the ratings here are NOT for a 20x25x4 filter. This filter is probably worthless due to the loose lid and air blow by. Hard to filter air that goes around the filter.

So far so good.

Everything about this is a great idea it will eventually pay for its self just seemed a bit over priced

I contacted the company via email first to get the exact dimensions of the 16x24x4 filter. I promptly got a response and when received it fit perfectly. Also asked which direction you spray water through it to clean it out and it can be in either direction.

I have been using disposable 2" thick merv 8 filters with a 2 inch spacer and replacing them every 2 months.It was time to buy more filters so I'd looked at the 4" thick disposable filters and the 2" I had been buying.Cost wise they were about the same since I'd be replacing the thicker filters only half as often.Researching further I'd found the "forever" washable filters at a somewhat higher price.Many of the forever filters were 2" thick and would fit if I used my existing spacer.I opted to search for a 4" thick filter as I expected to wash it only half as often.I had chosen this filter for the appearance of build quality and full depth filter pleats as hinted at in their photos.Imagine my surprise when I unpacked it to find out it was constructed with a 2" filter element and another 2" of non filtering expanded metal mesh.I had paid for and expected a 4" deep pleated filter element but found this fiilter would have to be removed and washed just as often as the cheaper 2" forever filters which were cheaper.I'll be returning this and looking for a 4" thick forever filter with a pleated filter element to match.Other observations:Item arrived as picturedNo factory wrapping, just Amazon brown kraft paper packing in an Amazon boxNo instructions on how to wash, detergents/cleaners to use or avoid, (or which washing machine cycle to use 8-)No obvious label identifying the manufacturer or model numberSturdy filter frame and expanded metal mesh used in construction (3 stars for this alone)

Fits as a good replacement for Honeywell enclosure but adds whistle noise. Not good when I spent big money to have a new system that runs quiet. Have not had it long enough to judge performance.
